hi anyone have problems same as me? whenever i plug my guitar to the studio amps, it will have a continuous hum..and i turn the volume pedal down and its gone..is it that i am playing too loud or too much gain?

Because i play mainly hardcore and metal so i need a lot of gain..
what actually is the problems?? my pick up is Seymour Duncan JB sh-4..

do i need to get a noise gate or hum eliminator or something to get rid of it??

thx:)

if the hum is quite unbearable it could be cos your amp is near appliances like fridges or your computer.
you could be standing too near to the amp when u play also, that will cause feedback.
the hum could be cos your amp might not be grounded also.

if the hum is ok its quite normal cos you're using quite alot of gain with your playing.
if u wana reduce it just lower the gain/volume. a noise gate or noise surpressor would help but try lowering your gain 1st. its cheaper that way:p
