Have I been conned?

I thought Just For Laughs is really good, haha...better than the current AFV...although I liked the one when Bob Saget was hosting better...

i guess its really the attitudes that have to change la, whether it be public transpot or whatever. they are still serving the public and community.

my bad experience? boarding the bus one evenin, and realizing i didnt bring my card, i dropped 55 cents(the usual student fare) and waited to get my ticket. who knows, the driver(i think he was chinese) just screamed at me at asked me why i didnt pay 90 cents. i told him i was a student, but he wasnt satified, saying that if i didnt have my farecard i'd have to pay the full adult fare. worse was i told him i had creditials proving i was a student, yet he still didnt believe. in the end i paid the fare, and he dared to show me a triumphant face. felt like f-ing him right there.

truth is, i learnt later, that he was right about the not bring your card and pay full price thing. but the problem was his attitude, just like everything else. if hed said nicely id even apologize and pay in full.

no matter what, everything is all about attitude. even though one's had it rough doesnt mean he has the right to push it to everyone. no one likes to be treated with a bitchy attitude.

had a bad experience today.

Got a cab from farrer road to jelita to return a dvd and then from there go to ridgewood close to a doctor. So I got a cab, went to jelita and he waited and then we drove down the right way and he turned left and ti didnt look right, but i assumed he knew where he was going.its his job to know right? then i realise im at queenstown mrt and im thinking "what the fuck is this guy doin" so i got out and stop another cab. He had no idea where to go so i let him go and stopped another one and he ahd no idea either. Stopped a 3rd one and he took me there. I only had $4 left after that idiot wasted the fare driving to queenstown. When the fare reached $4 i said i'llh have to get out and walk the rest. he said he would take me there for $4 and was very nice.

so mixed feedback there.

LMAO!!!!! like tt kind of answer oso got ah?

well..I really hate drivers who slow down before traffic junction too..
As for mrt, i've been going in free by following closely to the person infront of me everytime :) but it's hard for the bloody NEL stations.. :?

=O naughty naughty

I was in Paris once and my ticket wouldnt be accepted by the machine and i kept trying and it was busy so a french woman put her ticket in and shoved me through and she quickly walked through.

They're french though, it can be expected.

i remmeber last time during my sec sch days i used to play a fool with bus drivers, lets say i'm taking bus 196 which terminates at clementi, i'd board the bus, ask the driver if he goes to woodlands, he will obviously reply with a no, then i'll say ok and casually walk in and take a seat, quite interesting to see their stunned reactions.

as for taxi drivers, i'll always remmeber this incident about 2 years back, i got locked out of my house one night, it was already around 3am then and i live in sengkang, so i called my friend up and he told me to go over. He lives in hougang, abt a 10 min drive from my place, but a 25 min walk, so i only had abt $0.00 left so i decided to walk instead, and trust me, walking along sengkang roads at 3am is really freaky especially when ur alone, and so i was walking past serangoon sec when suddenly this cab just pulled over, the driver motioned to me to go closer, i thought he was asking for directions, but he asked me to get in, i told him i had no cash, and he was like "nevermind la uncle send u there" then he asked me where i was going and actually drove me there for free, after that incident, i made a vow to always give tips to taxi drivers, i.e if the fare is $9.50, i'll give $10 and ask him to keep the change.

i was walking home after a gig once from queenstown mrt. about a 10-15min walk.

This guy slowly drives up next to me and winds down his window. I had my earphones in and saw he was trying to get yma ttention. I looked at him and he was giving me that gay wave and smile and wanted me to get in his car. I gave him a "fuck you"look and was ready to kick his door in if he followed me, but he just sat there in his car watching me walk off.

This other time I was walking home from holland village and a car pulled into one of those service driveways for a condo and blocked my path. 4 chinese guys were in the car and they we waving at me to come over and get in their car, again with a gay smile and hand action.

I was in a good mood and told them to fuck off and kept walking but i shoulda thrown something at them and run off :D woulda been more fun.

hey panopticon, damn nice driver man. i was very impressed when i read what u wrote. :)

btw nitrovo, i nv kena invited for "gay" rides before, maybe they got turned on cos they saw your avatar? :?

Haha nitrovo, you seem to be a gay magnet la, hee. (Just joking!)
Just be careful when you're alone man. Bring your guit with you, could prove useful, musically (or not) :P.

Me and my mum took my bros THREE AND A HALF THOUSAND rickenbacker guitar home once for him after a gig...we left it in the cab and didnt realise until ten mins later the cab driver found our house again, rang the bell and gave it back to us!!

you'll forever be indebted to this taxi driver, haha.

If it was me, i'd have served him drinks and given him a small sum as appreciation.
