Some of you may know I have been trying to move a OCD pedal... Listed it at a good price and offers started coming in. Met the first guy today at Outram MRT Station... and I was late. About 20 mins late. My boo-boo.
What followed was quite interesting. Fellow took out his set of jeweller's screwdrivers. Those skinny kind that don't offer you much torque when trying to open anything... they're called Jeweller's tools for a reason. So try and try and finally got the pedal open.
Now this is strange enough, but understandable. I don't open up my pedals anymore so I really have no idea what could be inside. Fellow didn't seem satisfied. Serial number on the outside and the inside was different... Fair enough
Fellow closes pedal. Fellow finds scratch on paintwork near footswitch.
"I thought you say pedal mint? Pedal got scratch. Not mint..."
"Serial number inside outside got different..."
me: "Well... Sorry about the scratch... Pedal has been fine for me, working perfectly. I can guarantee it for you for a week"
"hmm..."
"Do you want it?"
"got scratch... and serial number... I think not"
"OKay. Thanks..."
And I was out of there.
If you were dealing with me today... would you have gotten all tip-toey over those two things
Just one of those things to put down as a memory. You wouldn't wanna reserve stuff for him.
\\FYI, there is a WTB:OCD ad by davidfong22... he's a good guy. Fellow mentioned above doesn't seem to have a SOFT account.//
