Guitar Repairs :(

Hey guys, I have a 1992 Yamaha FG-401 given by my cousin. I really love the tone, wonderful guitar but apparently he didn't play it for quite some time and left it under his bed. And well, there's a crack on the fretboard which spread throughout .. do you guys know of any luthiers or guitar shops that are great with this type repair job & around how much does it cost ? Thanks !

Not sure whether this can be fixed or not, might have to replace the fret board? Send it down to Sound Alchemy. Excellent at repairs.

For acoustic guitars, send them to Guitar Connection. The prices go by how extensive you want the repair to be. Bring your guitar down so they they can assess the guitar accordingly.

From what I can see, you'd need to remove the frets, glue and clamp it. sand down the excess glue and presto.

I made it sound easy but it's really not an easy job to do.

Also, I might be wrong. I don't run a repair store .

I wanted to change the fretboard and was quoted $300,hearing the price i shelf it.
