Guitar Recommendation

Do anyone know a good guitar that's lower than $350? I've been playing guitar for 4 months now and I think my current guitar suck so badly. I need a new and good one.

Name me cheap Ibanez, LTD, and stuff.

I would like to ask you what isit about your current guitar that sucks so badly? Isit something you personally feel or isit something that was told to you?

for mainstreamers(sic), you should get a strat copy, best with HSS or HSH config.
tele is too country.
ibanez and LTD is too metal. you're not a metalhead anymore. cannot use!

Its a personal thing. It sounds very... unexplainable but bad. And when I look at the guitar, I lose motivation to practice on it. I would usually use my dusty SX Les Paul.

unexplainable but bad??

If cannot explain why is it bad, but still think is bad, what would be the logic behind it?

Lets take a deep breath and relax, while sorting out the thoughts.

1) Usually when we want to upgrade gear, there have to be reasons.

2) With the reasons on why do we want to upgrade, we will be able to know what are the things we like, what are the things we dont like, what are the things we like to see/have/use, in the new gear

3) Without knowing why you want to change, what are your preferences and dislike, how are we going to recommend? See the simple common sense logic heind this?

4) And if we just recommend anything, without knowing what you like, what you dont like, do you think you will have the right mindset to use the guitar for long? Or after a while, due to your own insecurity(personality wise, instead of gear/guitar) you will start to look for another guitar again?

5) Step back, relax, think back, think over what is the problem with your current guitar, why you think its bad, list out the reasons and what you are looking for in the new guitar. Then perhaps, it will be easier to recommend to you.

Ok... so mind telling us what you like about your SX compared to your TGM? Cos to "upgrade" your guitar within four months of learning is pretty drastic. I lasted 3 years before I got my second.

a better guitar wont solve the mental block you face.
its the determination you have which would help. always be determined to improve and not depend on your guitar, cos at the end of the day, its the player and not the guitar

you sir, you're a rare one!!

Ehehehehe... Not SX ah. But it's still damn hard not to. I thought that I should understand the instrument inside out before I could even THINK of getting another.

Still don't know enough, still play like turd, but I end up succumbing. I'm a failure.

A gibson/fender/whatnot for your first guitar? Lol.

Nah. Just a second hand Ibanez SA 120. Indonesian make some more. Fretboard life was not tip top. Trem springs tarnished like hell and horribly warped that when I whammy, it gets caught at the wood edge of the cavity. Been playing that thing for so long without whammy-ing, and I finally changed the springs, felt like I had to start learning all over.

Some days I hated it. Some days I love it. Most days, I just don't want to think too much about any other guitars out there and just play.

Oh and btw, even if you have a Gibson, or a Fender, or what not, doesn't guarantee that you won't get anything else after 1 year or less.
