guitar paint jobs

im sure many people wanna paint/customize their guitars.. there should be a sticky on how to paint, techniques, tools etc and where to find the stuff.. unless of course, there already is a sticky on this topic

Hehe your link is missing a "t" for "project". =) That's an awesome site. Picked up much of my fundamental understanding of anything guitar related there.

painting is never something hard.. it juz requires alot of your patience... which alot of us don't have it.. i would say.. painting actually trained my patience.. coz when my 1st paint job turn out to be crap, i actually know why.. i lack of patience.. eg.. stripping of old paint anxiously.. spraying of coat too thick and with short drying time.. it is definately not rocket science and you dont have to get a spray booth to do e job :D all i use was my corridor! ops! haha..

anyway i'm working on a softies's custom pedal paint job recently.. so if the result turns out good.. i'll post it and in return, i'll post the general steps or say the general approach to painting...

ok the pedal job i mentioned?
its 90% complete.. so here are some of the pics.. enjoy...

Gr3y - If you use your corridor how do you prevent dust particles from setting into the paint?

Btw, the even-ness of the paint coats sure is a testimony to your patience and mastery of spraying techniques. Great job!
