Hey Soft-ies,

i need your help in finding the "ideal" guitar for me.

i have tried so many guitars, but none suites my standard.

My expectations in my "ideal" guitar:

-24 Frets

-Floyd Rose (Or any other kind of Tremolo, but must have same kind functions as this)

-Easy for solo-ing on the upper frets while standing up. [Important]

-Has Contour on the back to reach the upper frets better. (bolt-on area) [Important]

-Light

-Strings are easy to press (similar to Les Pauls) [Not That Important]

i Don't really bother for the pick-ups as i would change it so Seymour Duncan Invaders

I Was thinking of getting the Schecter Avenger Or The Epiphone Prophecy EM-2 Custom FX.

i haven't tried these two guitars yet.

P.S. I do not want to make a custom guitars, as i want a real guitar "Brand" on the Headstock

Can you guys help me out?

You mentioned MCR so i assume you play punk rock right?
:???::???::???:

hmm i don't know. it's like metalheads disliking certain genres which are trying to be metal... because they don't see those genres as part of metal. i am not a metalhead.. btw.

peace:)

Let's not dispute over genres, guys. Just that i find his choice of guitar how do i put it, weird? I guess? Like instead of expecting a jazz guitarist to play on a Gibson ES335 or some other semi hollow he suddenly pulls out a BC Rich Warlock or some extreme shaped guitar.

I just don't know.
:confused::confused::confused::confused:

get one with a floyd and 24 frets, dont really see whats so difficult. if u cant get over the idea that every guitar has a joint no matter whether setneck or bolt on i suggest u jump over and start playing a pedal steel instead, that way theres no neck to get in your way.

Actually, the Gibson SG would be ferfect... Nothing gets in the way... Oh, unless you can't play for nuts...:mrgreen:

have you played a Les Paul while standing up?

the curve shape on top, makes it harder to reach the upper frets.

I have discovered after playing Les Pauls that the struggle to reach the upper frets is actually part of the fun playing the LP. Makes your performance more fascinating to watch... Just don't miss those notes. The more you struggle with it, the better your tone will be.

And you will get panties thrown at you after your solo.:mrgreen:

Yes agree with this entirely.

The joy of a lespaul is in the fact that it sort of fights back against you when trying to attain the higher frets. This was one of the reasons i converted to LPs and havent looked back since apart from strats

But no i havent had the experience of panties being thrown at.
