Now you can command the same killer wah tone as Kirk with the new Kirk Hammett Signature Wah. Developed in close collaboration with the metal guitar icon himself, it has been meticulously tuned and tweaked to deliver the wah-wah sound that revolutionized metal solos in the '80s and for all time to come. This is the legendary tone that Kirk dials in on tour, using his DCR1SR Crybaby Rack Wah. Dunlop's engineers took Kirk's EQ, volume and tone settings—reflecting decades of blazing Crybaby riffology — and reproduced them with exacting precision. The Kirk Hammett Wah is exceptionally even in response as you move from heel to toe, with a thick top end and full dynamic range. Dare to step into the footprint of a giant. Own a piece of the legend: the Kirk Hammett Signature Wah from Dunlop.

Looks like after so many decades of wah-age, and "the only way you can stop me from using the wah is to cut off my legs" adage from Kirk himself, the guys at dunlop has finally decided to acknowledge him with a signature model.

The funny thing is kirk has been an abuser of the wah as long as i can follow. But guys like Zakk Wldye and Slash got their signature models earlier, so i guess this is long overdue.

Some wisecracks:

Does it have no-bypass?
Wait, its an auto-wah isnt it?

Dunlop can add this to the list of signature model Crybabys:
Zakk Wylde
Dimebag
Buddy Guy
Jimi Hendrix
Slash

and now Kirk Hammett.

I expect the difference between them all is negligible, or at least two of the models are the same inside.

I read that the difference between a crybaby and the Jimi Hendrix version was like... a resistor difference or something?

And the price of course.

He shouldd have a signature wah pedal. It should be a signature auto-wah pedal that activates right at the precise moment a solo is going to be played.

About time, although IMO the finish is hideous and Kirk's wah tone is nothing spectacular. If it wasn't for his abuse of it, it probably wouldn't have been noticed.

Most probably, foot controls the auto-wah speed.

haha here's some more:

Tone sculpting feature immediately scoops the mids for that in your face wah tone

special talent function automatically makes you sound like Kirk and sounds pentatonic no matter what you play! perfect for tehz noobs or advanced players alike seeking to get that ever elusive kirk sound
