Gotoh bridge differences

hey guys, i was just wondering what the difference between the gotoh floyd rose GHL1 and GHL2 is cuz they look exactly the same, measurement wise, they seem the same too.

also, do they have a gotoh locking trem with a shorter block? cuz i was thinking of upgrading but the trem block seems to stick out more then mine.

The bridges are the same, just that the locking nut will come in 2 widths: 1 5/8" and 1 11/16", translated this means vintage fender and ibanez nut widths. The difference between the F and G would be the way the nut is screwed onto the neck.

can i swap out the block of my current bridge onto the gotoh one so it wont stick out?

You might be able to if the blocks are of similar size with similar spaced/drilled screw holes.

However.

Gotoh's trem blocks are machine screwed so tight - you'll probably strip the screws before anything.

So, no, not recommended.
