Goose Citrus! TGP? WOW

i dongch need bootsa.. u see my board, i have many many too many boosta liaos. just need tone control thankewts.. :D

FB...The Citrus is an opto based, so no muffle tone maybe a wee bit brilliance added.

Yes Pathein that, Citrus duo is a Boosty after especially for passive bass playas ....i don't make em like that no more !!

brother Goo, just wondering, are you able to make a citrus with a tone control that allows me to dial in treble?

most compressors don't work for me as they usually reduce brightness and affect my rig's ability to cut tru the mix when i turn them up.

so far only the boss CS3 has a tone control that works for me, but the sound quality leaves much to be desired.

:P

I asked Goose the same thing.

I was concerned since the Citrus brightens up your tone a little. What if I wanted to use single coils? Nice for humbuckers but singles how? Die lah, glass shatter?

But no lah.

The whole brightness thing - its frankly, not a lot - makes your tone sit better in the mix. Does not make you into a lead tone machine but it makes your tone robust and sits well in the mix.

That's what I learnt from the year I've had with the citrus.

Just reduced the cap count on the signal path for minimal coloration ...so that wee bit brilliance can be your ally...sort of an enhancer in a subtle way of course ;)

I actually asked for the eq control myself...didnt want the strat to get brighter...but goose rightly pointed that it works fine without one....cos its easier to dial in

im not sure if this is 'right' but....i find the need for a buffer reduced with the comp first in my chain....it compensates for the loss
