Haha I'm glad some actually spotted the outright rediculousness of my obvious sarcasm.
Maybe we would like a summary of the key issue so far... Guitars are not exactly like cars. Saying a Gibson is better than a Ibanez is not quite the same as saying a Ferarri is better than a Toyota. We'd just making ourselves sound very ignorant and dumb.
The fact is, each individual guitar is different. When you say Squires, which one are you refering to? There're the extreme shits and there're the holy grails. When you mention a Yamaha Pacifica 312 MkII, which are you refering to? The green one at the front of the guitar stand you saw at Tampines MusicPlaza or the one I curently own?
Guitars aren't made of metal where a perfect mixture is melted to an alloy and molded into its shape by a machine.. They're made of wood with grains from different trees, they are glued and they are heat treated. From the same model (maybe in different batches), few will turn out to be "perfects" and few will turn out to be "disasters". QA for guitars are set to high thresholds where they would accept almost anything that's not rated under "unplayable".
Your particular squire might be better than my pacifica to you, his Gibson les paul might be better than some1 else's JEM77 to him. But it would just be lunacy to say Fender is better than Ibanez, or Gibson is better than Cort etc. Wth are we trying to say here? That a brand is better than another brand? Dell is better than Acer, Pilot is better than Pentel, Panasonic is better than Sony, my brain is bigger than my head?
