Gave in to temptation and gambled on a Belcat delay yesterday.

Tried the delay the day before and thought it sounded quite good, very simple no hiss no noise no volume boosts when engaged.

Did a research on the company and it was a China company so was a lil hesitant but googled a lil bit more and reviews made me just wanna give it a go and gamble on it, and I did.

Apparently these pedals are called Crossfire in Aussie and I was recommended by one of the softies to the crossfire delay as a cheap unit.

Only thing thats been in question is the toggle switch. As quoted from HC reviews:

The foot switch looks heavy duty on the outside, but on the inside it just depresses a little plunger type stick that pushes a button mounted on the board. Similar to the membrane buttons on a cell phone's board. So replacing with a true bypass switch isn't do-able as a drop and solder job (if do-able at all, I have no experience working with PC boards).

Whats the price like?

Chanmin, macs are the best computers ever made, by the way i dont recall what windows is after getting my mac, but we are forced to use windows in school, so im usually slow in IT lesson(Off topic sorry)

yea man, JM is on of my greatest inspirations, so who has one?

lifele55, where did u get the Belcat from? Is it from Ebenex? Hmm I heard David talking enthusiastically about a $99 analog delay when i went there days ago, not sure if thats the one.

Well its close to the $99 pricing of the Artec actually. $3 off... from ByLeft

...... (Sorry for double post)

I'd wonder how the artec compares to say... the Dano PB&J (around 80 bucks).

I recall trying the artec but did not have anything to a/b with... which would be the main test of an echo/delay unit - a/b-ing it against a more "established" unit like the Maxon AD series.

My new Morris Lawsuit Strat

Yo,

Just got this guitar from luthermusic classified. It's a 70s Morris strat....oozing with vintage strat twang!!! Very comfortable neck and it's quite light for an ashwood body.
The 'Morris' logo has been stripped off and it seemd that guitar was bought from City Music.
Got it for a steal ..$250!!!!! The lacquer has aged nicely..maybe I'll take shots of this baby. a few more

U can view it here
