Penta-tonic the neck goes from a soft V to a C...very VERY VERY NICE! This makes it an extremely playable profile, the soft V allows you get to really dig in on the lower register and when you need the eveness in neck grip on the higher notes it comes in really handy as well.
I have decided to keep the guitar in the case when not in use, instead of placing it on guitar hangers like I'm used to. I'm aware of all the evil little things, which rubber, vinyl, adhesives can do to nitro.
One of the nicest Nitro finishes I've come across, and probably one of the best strats I've played is Benster's Van Zandt...amazing shit. Super flame maple neck, Suhr V60s, Sprezel Tuners, and a really nice nitro sunburst finish. The finish is really soft though, even a little tracing from your fingernail can leave a mark. I read somewhere on TGP that the finishes on new "Nitro" fenders are not really nitro, but actually nitro over a poly finish.
Whatever the case, if it sounds great, it sounds GREAT!

cool stuff. i dun really dig v necks. somehow they feel kinda odd in my hands. i just love the look of the strat man. gotta get myself one of those kinda strats or one in a mary kaye finish at least ahaha. we should have a gathering to check out gear like how the bass side of soft had.

Always wanted an EJ strat since I fell for strats, but settled on a similar looking one, but rather different in specs...yours looked....so...yummy... :smt055

leecs, I keep the number at 3 guitars, it's not endless. Though I wish it was.

Chanmin had one for sale a while back, I wished I had jumped on that one. IMHO for strats, can't go wrong with a black or white/trans white ala. Mary Kaye finish, it's a damn versatile color. Slap on a different pickguard and it looks awesome. My fave combinations as far as colors go is tortoise shell guards over black or white strats. Just like Landau or Scott Henderson! 8)

i ordered jumbo frets with 10 radius and a fatback profile. the problem i had with fenders is that the profiles are pretty much set but everyone plays differently.
both guitars cost abt $2k each. much cheaper than what fender offers any day for what you get.
