no, its not a SG-Z.

both are almost similar tho with the exception of cosmetic effects.
ie. headstock inlay, 24th fret inlay, lightning string thru.

the differences are SG-90 has ebony fretboard, SG-Z has rosewood.
orginally both also had different pickups, but thats irrelevant as mine doesnt anyway.
also the SG-90 is the only SG that had a floyd rose.

Thanks fellas ...i have built and tried varoius tremolo pedals ...the tremor my fav. ...its inspiring!
Oh ya it has two leds ...one>blue blinking in accord to the tremolo speed and type, the other>red to indicate effect on or off.
As for the fine speed selector "big"knob gives me good control and nice human feel....i suck at tap tempo :roll:

I have tried tap tempo ...i feel like dork trying to sync with my tunes!
With the sideways big knob on the Tremor ...i can manupulate all i want without tryin to balance with one leg and jerking with the other .....
Try getting slow wave to fast throb and back in two seconds with a tap tap !!

The Empress will be good choice for a tap tempo type ... :wink:

hah bro! that "glorified calculator" i'm getting would be my secondary rig! for my main rig i'm still looking for a tremolo and compressor, that's why asking for sound clips, haha. after trying quite a few i couldn't find one that i liked, so i sort of gave up looking for quite some time. but you've stirred my interest!! lol.
btw, i think those rubber covers for the foot controlable fine speed knob would be cool. like those mxr pedal ones. just a thought. heh

I really got no time at the moment for clips ...so i hope the fellas who own one or who had heard it's worx at my place will testify.

As for a compressor ...a sound clip is useless ...its more of a feel type effect. 8)

I bought it at the sweelee sale for $375!! Its my favourite guitar. The tones, playability are just perfect, not the most fond of its finish but for 375 dollars, it really is a steal!


Even at full price, I would buy it in heartbeat, go try it out!!
