Cool collection there. so sub, are you more of a player or a collector?

i am an enthusiast 8)

will acquire guitars that make me play well. as you can see from my collection, there's only 2 collector-worthy acquisition, arguably: PRS McCarty/ Fender 50th Ann Strat. the rest could have been done away with to invest maybe in a Gibson LP, which i didn't. no offence to LP fans, i have a feeling one is coming by soon...

my hot new sizzling babe, customized royal blue POT , 5 way rotary switching, 24 frets. Mahogany body - maple top - 1 piece neck - rosewood fretboard. equipped with Bare Knuckle's Stormy Monday Humbucker set. strong contender to take over as my main axe.

note - the guitar was taken out of the hardcase, for immediate testing. setup was done prior to shipping out by POT, playabilty is excellent. with the Bare Knuckles loaded = :smt059 :)

My "new" acquisition, a '90 Marshall 2204...courtesy of Weiht who held on to it for me. Anyone who knows any good & reliable amp techs locally? Pm me :)

no shit man, paulo that santana POT has some serious flame top. im a sucker for those. but do tell me cos im just wondering. personally i use a prs as my main axe and i find its quite rare to find anyone actually wanting to have that 5 way rotary switch cos its just to cumbersome and grabbing it quickly could result in a damaged guitar finish cos of fingernails and whatnots. btw how long was the waiting time for construction and arrival?

Paul nice new axe man! I love the colour, she's gonna sound great and serve you well man, especially in your toneful hands.

Can't really imagine you playing anything other than a Strat though, too used to the whole visual already :)

You need one of these to complete the whole get up...

A Big Ass guitar strap like Satana! ;)

thanks guys :) Chris, i went for a standard strap, with metal styled fonts. the giant santana straps probably distributes weight better, after 3 sets at the House of Rock just now.....*rubs left shoulder* need to get seasoned to this fast.

yeah penta - the 5 way rotary switch, i'm applying the 'right-pinky slide' for jumping from positions 1 to 5 fast if needed. the tone of position 2 is vicious, great blend for classic rock. positions 3 n especially 4 serve well in dropped volume low-gain OD riffs. i know its a bit more work, i guess i could use a new challenge with the rotary lol. The Stormy Monday (Bare Knuckle) Humbucker set rocks!

waiting time for construction and arrival - at least 2 months. do check with Dennis @ G77 for accurate details on POT. cheers.

@edo83 - 2204 is a great amp - killer catch.

Paulo: I see a Marshall in your sig too hehehe...must have stayed with you through thick and thin i suppose?

As for the retubing/maintenance issue, i've looked up a couple of contacts including randolf....hopefully it works out well :lol:

In any case, sonic annihilation at NTU is imminent! By the powers of EL34s and ECC83s, I'mmmmmmmmmmmm Mr. 2204!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
