well my point of view.

there's lotsa metal band out there showcasing their play in many recent gig
well i applaud for them for having the passion and determination to play in most gig.

if u say there's lotsa deathmetal genre in sgp

your wrong....mostly are all hardcore or deathcore stuff.
or even sometimes we see lots of metal genre playing in the same gig next to each other.

so if u want hardcore or real metal or whatsover...
well there might be some if u really check properly in the gig or concert section at s.o.f.t. or if not just try to organise one.

and if people think that deathmetal are just a bunch of loud music with no talent or so

You get away with shit like that because you're in this country. My Swedish chump keeps me jealous by telling me how assholes who hate metal will grudgingly respect it. Oh yea, I'm leaving end of next year, so don't take another cheap shot at me like "So why you still here? Go away lah!" , nope you won't sinkie.

Haha "get away with shit like that"? Last I checked, liking music that isn't metal isn't a crime, tough guy. Turn it into a societal issue, why don't you? So some people hate metal, just like you hate "lovey dovey happy sounding stuff". (Btw "Love Story" is a trivial name and "Fermented Offal Discharge omg gore and shit" is prophetic and deep, right?)

But take it easy on the "OMG I AM BROOTALZ I LOVE METAL SCREW EVERYTHING ELSE" already, we get it. You like metal, everyone who doesn't is an asshole. Why the hell should people respect your taste in music when you put everyone elses' down? I won't. I think Fermented Offal Discharge is the musical equivalent of smashing your head into a wall. Sure they have chops but yeah...no.

For the record, I do listen to metal, although I don't claim to be one of those guys that listens to underground doom or anything.

Anyways a good musician can tell whether a metal band is a good metal band (as with anything else like jazz or classical). Sure there are stereotypes (I laughed for a good one minute at that rooster thing) but I still enjoy it when a good vocalist who gores well. It isnt easy to do and whether one likes it or not is subjective.
