OK user polls hur hur hur!

Don't worry, I won't ask for pictures and who is selling them.

Since Bill Lawrence won't reply and I want a Strat for its Strat sound. Figured out why not Fender® Noiseless?

1. Hot sounds like an idea but can it do the strat thing convincingly?
2. Vintage sounds like it but will the treble break glass?

Discuss and feel free to recommend me Fralins, Bill Lawrence, Kinmans and go off topic.

Your chance to make me mincemeat.

ive both kinmans and suhr pickups. im using the suhr v60lp and kinman avn69 and hx85. the suhr is really good stuff only setback is it aint noise cancelling. the kinmans sound really good but then a diff monster from what ud expect a traditional strat sound. its more hifi. doesnt sound anything humbucker like.

but both these brands r pretty ex. u could also head for the duncan classic stack tho ive not tried it myself but after trying a few duncans id say i like them but they arent for the over picky la.

the kinman blues that i have tried, has got a bell chime like clean that sounds good thru reverb and delay to do your postrock standard tremolo picking stunt

but sounds bad with dirt or fuzz .....

hehe, not sure bout that thou. Before i removed the wiring of the kinman(tryinng to rewire), the only moment with it were either very clean but heavy reverb and delay or very fuzzy with even more reverb and delay that i cant even hear the true sound anymore

Neither.

There are quite a few out there that have better designs.

Duncan Classic Stack plus for instance.

the kinmans tt i tried din have that single coil spank to it. it was more sweet and a mellower top end. But noiseless is a charm!

Check out Dimarzio's new Area 58 and Area 61 pups.

Peeps on TGP have been pretty impressed by them.

Got a youtube video of some guitar magazine reviewing them.

i still find true singlecoils sound most authentic.

you can hunt for dimarzio HS2/3, they should be quite cheap 2ndhand and they sound pretty good. And you can split them for a true singlecoil sound.

But that would defeat the purpose of having noiseless pickups yea?

FENDER HOT NOISELESS ... a set currently on my Bonnie Raitt..word of warning - they come only with aged white covers n not many aftermarket or normal fender cover fit em ....

tone wise - like a sumo strat!

i guess so, but i suppose noiseless depends on one's personal preference. I remember reading Eric Johnson was using the Dimarzios split at one point of time - pretty interesting that he would split the stacked coils.

I think most people don't mind the 60 cycle hum during cleans since they aren't very obvious. It tends to be during overdrive/distortion when the hum can get very irritating.

hiya, i used to have the vintage noiseless in my strat. i liked it for abit, but after playing around some more with true singlecoils, i realized the vintage noiseless seemed to be a little tame in comparison. didn't sound as dynamic as singlecoils. but it was very good for recording since it was quiet...

for pickups i'm not a really good supporter of fender. If you want the versatility of both distorted and clean. You will get the super clean twang vintage sound for funk or jazz and high gain distortion solos for shred like sound on neck and roaring lead cut through for bridge, i recommend dimarzios (stack hum single coil) slap in a HS2 in the neck a seymour duncan classic stack plus in middle and a HS3 in the bridge, thats what i do on my guitar lah. Confirm guarantee chop super clean twang on 2nd and 4th position! if you still find it too sharp? roll down the tone knob.

Dimarzios is da shitteee man!

ok edder if uve got enough budget get the suhr v60lp singles and the suhr silent single coil (SSC) backsplate to go with it. i have it in my guitar at the moment and i can say absolutely amazing. i have a push pull to turn off the SSC if i wanted but switching between both i really cant hear any difference at all except that with the SSC on its dead quiet.
