hmm for the FENDER STRATOCASTER CLEAN tone.

definitely SUHR V60LP .... great sound...sounds great dirty too unfortunately the hum is there too ... its dead quiet at home.. but on ungrounded amps...etc.. its a bitch.

Kinman AVN blues... i love these... not the true sinlge coil tone.... but EMG quiet and sounds pretty damn good for what it is. I prefer it for dirty stuff... the cleans as noted by pentatonic are kinda hi-fi .. its great for adding reverb and delays to .. pricey as well ... my set cost me almost 700bucks.
when i clicked CONFIRM PURCHASE... i couldnt breath for a few seconds...

I've never been too much of a high end pickup user before and the highest I went (in terms of pickup sound quality not $$$) was Bill Lawrence.

I was surfing around and mucking around other forums and found out about this on ebay, FDP and a few other sites. http://store.guitarfetish.com/

Korean made pickups, designed in USA. I only believe what I read 50%. And if Matt Farrow of Pharoah Amps mentioned about using them, I'm sure there must be something good about it.

Got a set of Premium Alnicos(haha) with a hot bridge for the squire strat and a 59 bridge humbucker + a brass baseplate single for the squire 51.

I failed to mentioned that the pickups are meant for a Squire Deluxe Strat. Its amazing how Squire can even give a flame maple neck together with the hmmmm photoflame/veneered body.

when set up nicely... its quite a cool guitar.

Took a risk, bought it sight unseen from my friend (who might be reading this, you infidel!) and did some work on it.

Hope after the pickup change it'll be a STRUT signal generators. I've got Tele, Lay Por, Lipsticks and Semihollow. A strut will balance the equation nicely.

Must be able to hear what the customers when they play thro my pedals.

heh... that was my PR manager talking. That ahseng ah... always wanna make me look good in public. Tell him so many times already... dodgy pedal builders no need to look good in public one... no matter what they do the pedals are still made with parts from Ang Mo Kio.

That said, I just wanna spend money lah but I'm too cheap so I buy cheap gear and cheap upgrades and expect them to sound like a birrion dorrars!!!

as long as we agree on, having G, Am, C sounding like how it shud be, regardless of $5000 guitar with $1000 pickup or $395 vantage with stock pickup. Its all good!
