Fender Jaguar HH

Hi guys, was wondering if anybody here owns this guitar, or has seen it in singapore.

http://fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0259200306

I've never seen or played this guitar before but the specs seem to indicate that it might be a good alternative to the les paul, if only because they have those nice c-shaped necks instead of the fat ones epis and gibsons make ( this is probably up to one's personal preference but aren't c-shaped necks easier to play?).

I think the adjustomatic bridge will afford more tuning stability as compared to the vintage floating tremolo. Only thing is that it'll probably sound like any other guitar with a HH configuration, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you aren't going after the traditional jag sound in the first place.

anybody want to share their opinion on this guitar?

soundwise and feel... you'll only know it when you get your hands on it.

but having a Fender Japan Jaguar Bottommaster in my workbench now... the guitar body feels like sex.

The pickup switching for a Jaguar needs a fair bit of practice to get used to. I'm not sure with the additional controls below if it would be helpful to you or not and if you'd even use them.

Controls “Lead” Circuit:
2-Position Tone Switch,
Volume,

“Rhythm” Circuit:

Circuit Selector Switch

Another thing to note about Jaguars is that they have a SHORT scale. 24" to be exact.

You'll have to use heavier strings to make it more playable unless if you like rubberbands. 10s or 11s are ideal.

You'll have to think about the frets being closer to each other... your fingers will feel cramped or not when burning down the fretboard?

this guitar is available @ Davis/ Maestro. played it:

*neck not the typical rounded Fender, wide & rather slim
*pickups (Fender's Dragster)- above average

i've MIJ fender jag HH JGS83 sunburst. tonewise is kinda in btw singlecoil & humbucker. but unlike P90.

the xtra knobs & pots mayb confusing intially but its fun & makes the gtr more versatile.

i bought it @ rankin sports $1133.gd price. it'll b great if comes with hardcase.

yup, ive had tat baby for abt a year, bought it from swee lee for close to 1k

just changed the neck pick up to a p-94, now it has its own dirt. i like!
