subversion said:definitely. the SRX700 Jap version only appeared in 2003, if you audition one, look at the headstock's flipside to see where it's made. it's one of the best thru-neck bass i've ever tried, the bridge offers 2 types of stringing- through body/ tail end, just like the current Amrecian Series Fender basses.
however, the tones on offer are humbucking, if you are into Fender type tones, the SRX might have too much bottom end for you 8)
