i like stingrays! the tone will smack your head against the wall.

musicman stingray ?

whoa ./... btw are musicman models ex ? their tone is nice ? where can buy ?

the Aerodyne is slightly lighter because:

1. Basswood
2. curved top, slim overall body depth

IMO it just needs fretboard markers but that'll affect the overall aura... 8)

whoa thanks !!

but is this aerodyne made in Japan ? all aerodynes are right ?

i did a checkup and found its called sometihng like the aerodyne jazz 1 or sumtihng like tt... pretty great reviews

if i m not mistaken about e body depth (thickness of body right ?) i believe like all aerodyne basses are generally rather thin... i saw an reissue and it was llike unbelievably light and solid for a full sized jazz bass

definitely Japanese...

**erm, for you Jap Fender fans out there, if you are holding back on buying one, maybe this is the time to really push yourself & get it already. why is this so? Fugigen is closing its doors...

the factory in japan that makes ibanez, fenders, etc.

OMG ? really ? why are they closing down ? this is really significant ... when will production be stopped ?

Fujigen Gakki guitars bear an 'F' prefix in their serial numbers- the reason Jap Fenders' serials starts with one... 8) so do Ibanez guitars (Jap models)...

icic ...

but not all guitars / basses are made at fujigen ? any idea why are they closing ?

whoa ... having a last model in the year b4 fujigen closes would mean something

can't confirm that ALL Jap Fenders were born in the Fujigen premises, the 'F' stamped ones are Fujigen exclusives. examples would be the re-issue Mustang & '50s bass, Paisley finished guitars & basses, Aerodyne models in the Fender catalogue that bear a -025- model reference, among others...

sheeesh... i think i've hijacked this thread too much. apologies...
