Female teacher jailed 10 months

sigh. first comes The New Paper reporting that teenage sex numbers are rising, underage sex is rising, teenage pregnancies are rising, a 13-yr-old-Briton is a FATHER, a few mroe guys are contesting that the guy IS the father, and now this.

The thing that I still cannot believe is that the husband has forgiven the wife so quickly! Aiyo, if my girl or wife ever did this, I won't be able to forgive her THAT quickly, at least I think I won't.

What is this world becoming of. Is it really THAT hard to keep your testorones controled?! (And I'm not just telling that to the guys only, hint hint)

You know theliverevolution, if the fairer sex had less sexual inhibition, I think most males would be generally happier, more confident people:cool:

Hahaha. Its inevitable. When a guy gets horny, how to tame? Btw i realized horny means violent? Anyone care to rebuttle?

Yes, but at what cost? At the cost of watering down the morals and the importance of virginity?

Yeah I do agree with you personally because I do see the value and importance of virginity.

However looking at this objectively and without any emotional or personal moralistic (is there such a word?) influence, in a society which isn't governed by religious law, it is very difficult to gauge where to draw the line. Due to Western influence and media, sex has become more of an enjoyment, and virginity is almost shunned.

Although I do agree that a student-teacher sexual relationship is a relatively big issue even in more liberal societies, let alone the wannabe-liberal-but-deep-down-inside-traditional Singapore.

I personally believe in non-interference in the lives of others. Especially when it is something as private as sex (of course how private you want your sex to be is honestly another issue of contention, I'm pretty much fine if you want to have sex in the middle of the road just don't block my way).

What I see is that, people who are losing their virginity early and such, generally have issues with self-esteem. It's a pretty obvious case with this boy - his death threats show his fear of losing the relationship, which is a pretty clear sign of self-esteem issues - , the issue here is not media influence, but rather, such people will exist as a minority in EVERY society.

Sex is natural, the less we talk about it, the more people will perceive it as a 'problem'. Morals are entirely relative as well, fixed morals are long gone and only the religious believe in them (of course with absolutely no hold on non believers). Let's just give people the freedom to lead their own private lives of debauchery (if they want to), I know damn well it's within their rights in a world of freedom. It's not within mine to lambast them for moral degradation, neither is it anyone's.

I think everyone is more obsessed with living out their never-to-be fufilled deprived fantasies than caring about degradation of moral issues and such. lol

Anyone who is morally upright and just, should feel sad upon hearing this kind of news.
It is everyone's duty to protect young people from ruining and having a permanent scar in their lives. Let's be responsible with morals.

"The woman’s identity had been withheld to protect the victim, said the spokesman, who confirmed that District Judge Sarjit Singh handed down the sentence, but gave no further details."

wait..what? who's the victim here?

Everyone's a victim, just a matter of POV. If you ask AWARE to look at this case, they would tell you its' the boy's problem, the teacher's the victim. However,if you ask the Counsellors to comment, they would say its perfectly normal for a boy to be so 'worked-up' as his hormones are still maturing,in fact, they might say its the teacher's fault. Being a teacher and not teaching the boy proper.
