anyone know here i can get a set of these? strings are burning my pocket, lol.
i dont like rusted strings on my guitar. and i have a dunlop 65 string cleaner dosent really help. i mena for 2 ~ 3 hours then its rough and not slippery anymore.

since you dislike rusted strings, you might consider coated or wrapped strings, such as elixirs. be forewarned that they aren't cheap...

I myself on the otherhand prefer old oxidised strings... mellower... muddier... I like

+1 for old strings haha!!

But for coated strings part, it will still rust. and when the coating drop off... and your string will look very dirty and somehow disgusting as compared to rusty strings.

Also, in ranking sports, they sell the reinforced strings at $7.50 if I remember correctly... the reinforced ones. not the coated ones. haha.

so what are the pros of Reinforced strings? wont break easily? they showed stainless string in their website, so this strings wont rust right?

Strings are gonna last 1 gig in this climate, coated or uncoated, titanium reinforced core or whatever the latest excuse to increase the price of strings is.

Buy basic, change often.

Reinforced strings minimized string slippage and breakage. It will rust. To my knowledge, there isn't a string that won't rust. Otherwise, no more business for strings companies :-D

oh, climate affects the strings? ( im a real noob ) but im gonna try the coated ones first before making a crucial decision which will affect my ''changing of strings life style'' lol :-D

Climate is one factor. Sweat from your palm/ fingers is another factor that hasten rust. To prolong the string life, use a piece of cloth to wipe the strings after playing.

okay thanks. didnt know you had to wipe after using.

btw, dont you guys sleep? im waiting for my mum to come home, she went overseas for a trip.

You can also use stuff like,

- GHS Fast Fret
- DR: Extra Stringlife
- Ernie Ball Wipes

It prolongs strings life too.

I use GHS Fast Fret, it does prolong string life, but it makes your strings very slick, which can be a good or bad thing depending on preference.

ive heard about ernie ball wipes , Annihilator uses them.
and fast fret , is fast fret a cloth?
i have a dunlop 65 string clear dont really like it, it sucks IMO.
