Ernie Ball Stainless Strings

i tune my guitar every single time before i play. its a good habit. sometimes u dont know it but u're playing an out of tune guitar. in a live situation, its extremely embarrassing and it will infuriate some of the ppl watching u play. make it a habit to tune up every time before u play. a good 2-3 mins is worth the time.

anyway if u really find tuning a chore, invest in a pedal tuner. its easier and wont make u sound like a noob when tuning cos it mutes ur guitar's sound.

no tuner might as well dont play. seriously.

HAHA. I've got schoolmates who said they don't use tuners the minute they started playing guitar... they said that they can use some methods to tune.... quite hilarious right.. haha :D:D

EDIT: I know there are methods.. but isn't it too ambitious for a rookie to not use a tuner to tune? lol.

before i had a tuner last time. i made the effort to go online and find an online tuner. i relied on how sharp my ears were. there is a method. if ur e string is in tune, the 5th fret will be what the A string should sound like.. then so on so on.. but thats a very unreliable method because many of our ears are not perfect to tell a perfect note

+1 to unreliable haha  there must be at least one string to be in tune for the method to work right? then if all the strings not in tune then mati. haha

even if one string is perfectly in tune it is stil unreliable. because our hearing isnt perfect.

thats why a tuner really really is a MUST

anyone tried the everly b-52s?

Ive got a problem with strings rusting quickly(esp with super slinkys) as I live near the beach and Ive got sweaty palms..but so far my b-52s has been on my guitar for almost a month now... with regular string maintenance of course..

it plays really great new.. the tone is awesome.. but i find that the strings gets a little 'tough' as it ages.. and the price is on the higher side.

just buy the daddarios 10 pack. $46 at davis for a pack of 10. I change my strings like monthly. I have like 4 electrics to maintain and the 10 pack helps me to save quite a bit of cash and i don't have to go down to the store too often.
