Epiphone semi/hollows or similar

Hi, first off: sorry for not doing a complete search (at work).

Anyway, I'm looking for a nice semi/hollow guitar. Was thinking of a Dot or Casino, any idea where to get the apart from Swee Lee?

Would anyone have any other recommendations that do not hit the $1,000 mark? (A new Casino's slightly more than $1,000 at Swee Lee).

what kind of music that you r playing? Do consider Ibanez Artcores from sweelee. Those are good guitars for the price(ard S$500++)

very versatile guitar although it's not really a jazz guitar. Can handle dist/drive pretty well with good clean sound

i used to love the dot, (cause it's a poor man's 335) but after a bad exp with their showroom one, i kind aam abit "sianned" at it. i would say if epi choose the casino.

Artcores look nice too but sadly do not have the colours i wan (DAMNIT WHY NO RED)

Also if u looking at semi hollows theres Hamer's Echotone, Rally neosound.

Yamaha used to carry one model but it might have been discountinued from our shores

Also consider tokai, played mtfriend's one and it sounded SWEET

I owned 2 epi dot in the past. 1 korean, 1 china
I dun like the china one cos it tend to neck dive more than the korean. Feels lighter also.

Hamer echotone, owned the china made one before
pickups are good but tuner doesn't stay in tune.

Tried my friend's tokai es-335 copy also. To me it's the same quality as korean epi dot.

Riveria is out of production. Like the Supernova. Dang. Was hoping that Supernova was still in production but apprently not.

Yeah,it looks like a Dot but has different inlay and with mini-humbuckers.But at the swee lee website ,they still have it.

I tried the Dot, was OK. Dunno if it's worth the $700 tag brand new though. Would rather get a used one.

That Rally looks good. How does it hold up? I'll prob try it at their branch in town.

I'll prob give the Artcores a try though; any place other than Swee Lee carry them? (Who's Brendon?)

I'm actually not looking for a jazz sound (doubt I'd get a Dot/Casino for that). The noisier the better lol.

Can I suggest an Epiphone Elitist Dot? IIRC MIJ but US electronics (not sure about the pickups though).
