Drum Challenge

Hey guys, anybody joining the 'Drum Challenge' in Singapore drumfest? Just checked and found out that the rudiments has been taken off though. so excited about this, i mean, sharing the same stage as tony royster and jojo mayer, argh *&$*(&$$#(@ (well thats if we are able to make it into the finals :/), $20 for a shot to make it big, mhuahaha....

i think the contestant must be go through an audtion first before got a chance to play on the stage.
correct me if i'm wrong.

yeah, the audition cost about $20 and after that there also will be a semi finals too.

Quoted :

#1 " A cash fee of $20 will be charged for each pre-registered entry and a fee of $30 will be charged for walk-in drummers, to be paid at the audition venue directly. The organiser reserves the right to disallow entry for audition if payment is not made in full. "

#2 " Drummers will be put through 1 round of audition and 1 round of semi-finals. Semi-finals will be held on 12 May 2007 at the Youth Park.

Youthpark is an open air area with a proper stage for performances. It is situated right in the heart of the Singapore City. A roadshow will also be put up simultaneously to promote Singapore Drumfest 2007 with games, a contest & lucky draw and there will also be a big area for display of sponsors’ products.

Only 2 drummers per category would face off at the finals on 9 June (Under 21 Category) and 10 June (Open Category). "
