Driving License

eh guys is private or cdc faster to get a license?haha because i need it ASAP!sick of topping up my ez-link and all =\

Anyone has any idea on how to use CDC's booking system. Unlike SSDC where you can refresh anytime, CDC does not seem to give out slots at all, and after refreshing once, you get banned for awhile and thus unable to login. Btw i think appearance for your TP is also important as i have read online that some testers do judge you as a young punk who'll probably speed and stuff when you get your license. I was in T shirt and berms. But i know that tester had a problem with me. Bastard!

I think the tester wayang only. He more or less determine if you pass or fail based on your confidence level and your maturity in handling road situations.

I did my circuit perfectly, but he kept trying to find fault with me. On the road, he still continue to scold me.....I think he did it on purpose. I just kept quiet and didn't argue. He said that I can drive but I wasn't careful.

Anyway, he ticked a total of 36 points. But he wrote 18 behind. So, I passed.

hi to all,

Yes, appearence do count man. No one on their mind is SAFETY!!. Just to share my tips

Class 2b,2a, 2
a) Helmets should be plain.(If no design better still) approve by SISIR, with Euro Dot 3 etc...(No full face, helmets with very very loud and outstanding designs, half cap etc...)
b)Shoes : No laces (Zip up boots are better) . No slippers, flip flops, sandals, high heels.
c)Riding Gloves, jacket and jeans. (Take note for jeans, no bell bottom pls). Never take the test with your beach attire. It just show how laid back you are.

Class 3/4
a)Shoes : No high heels. Boots are not advisable especially if youre taking class 4 coz it will disrupt your "feel" on the double clutching
b)Never take the test with your beach attire. It just show how laid back you are.
c)At least put on a polo t...be presentable. No t shirts with loud or outstanding design pls.

During the pre drive/pre ride checks, wayang a lot! check and double check your mirrors, clutches, brakes etc.....

Whilst driving/riding, do not slouch! Chexk/double check blindspots at all times even though u know that theres no vehicle. Never compromise safety! When in doubt, give other road users the right of way. Always be on the look out for human, traffic and road hazzards.

And finally......

Be courteous, ive seen people coming for their test with airs so high up that they think they own the driving centre. Remember, what you do during the test willl reflect what type of driver/rider you will be once youve pass

Pls take note that I am not affliated with any of the driving centres/schools nor am I a tester. Jst my share of experience. All of the above works for me each time I took the test. Never had to take a re test for any of my licence hehehe

I'm a class 2b, 2a, 2, 3, and 4 licence holder. : )

I once heard a friend's friend (in HK btw) so desperately want to make a good impression that he wore a tux for his test. He didnt make it.

Subsequently, he wore overalls like those road workers and told the tester that the license was gonna be for a better job as a driver. It's for his livelihood and stuff....

So, he passed.

There's actually a trick to choose the time slot. I didn't really believe my friend when he told me. But I took his advice as I book very very early and got many choices.

He said that the tester got a unsaid quota to pass 5 drivers each day. Each day they will test 8. So, using our brain a bit....there's a very small chance that tester will pass all the first 4 in the morning. So, that leaves the afternoon slot for us to choose when the tester should be slightly more willing to pass people to meet the quota.

I'm taking at class 3 at BBDC, so I can only assess there. The first slot is quite difficult coz might have a lot of cars park illegally on the roadside at coffeeshops as people are out having lunch or picking up their kids from school. Big buses on the road side to pick up factory workers for the afternoon shift also. (I met this situation when I was warming up. Couldn't make a left turn as a bus was moving off on the left lane and I had just gone to the right lane to avoid those cars park on the road). Road condition quite challenging.

The second last and the last slot will reduce the chances of passing as the tester would probably have already meet his quota. Plus it will hit the knock off time and also the school's lesson end time.

Couldn't quite remember whether there are 5 slots or 4 in the afternoon.

So, that leaves the 2nd slot in the afternoon (the 3 something one), with the best road condition and the highest chance of passing. The only thing is to be careful when going back to BBDC coz it's the lesson end time. Everything was a breeze, and I only got to tackle the tester during this slot.

;)

Yup... as long as your confidence level is there and you don't kanchiong, he won't find fault with you.

Haha my tester was the best... after clearing circuit at BBDC, he made me turn out of the center, do a left turn at the junction, another left turn, one more left turn, and one final turn back into the center.

He left the paper empty, so i was damn happy.. I thought I perfected the test, until we reached the room. He started ticking RANDOM boxes, then telling me, "Eh just now you never do this etc etc." Then he gave me back the paper, hesitated, took it back and ticked 2 more boxes so I got 6 points.

Don't ask me the logic behind it. Testers are wierd.

Hey bro, dont worry about parking, cause its really easy. I thought circuit would be damn stressful, but it turned out good for me. However when im outside, things started to get f**ked up when i saw the tester ticking so many ticks. Then, i was thinking, die lah fail already, but wtf did i do wrong sia" Then go back debrief room 38 points nnb so many i didnt even commit. I have no demerits for blindspots at all though.
