i don't think anybody's saying deprive yourself of good food. just eat whatever you want in moderation and exercise. frankly, i'd rather die at 60 than live till 100 and be on medications. but i'd also rather live till 60 and be healthy than live till 60 and be sickly. so health is important regardless.
nobody wants to swallow pills. that's precisely why you should be healthy.
I might be an old granny at 100. But, i can choose to live my life @ 100 healthily and happy. Not becoming a burden to my children. I will continue to have new friends and talk about everything. Being happy is simple.
I want grandchildren by the time I'm 60, lol. na, just kidding. it's possible to eat healthily and still eat yummy foods, I guess.(is it a coincidence though that the stuff that's good for you doesn't always taste that good? )
