Do you think drugs help creativity?

chronic

Yeah lah its true lah drugs does slow down the mind by destroying the receptors of the brains, but it has been proven that while under the influence some parts of the brain are indeed more active. Hence the term, my brain is fried.

The thread is does drugs help in creativity. I say it does. Does it harm your brain in the long run I say yes too.

But I really dont get this point. Alcohol has destroyed so many lives too but its ok by general standards. I have seen alcohol destroyed so much more lives than drugs (soft not hard) ever did, well maybe of its accessibility. I am not saying its good, I am just saying its a personal choice. Drinking ecessively is hell aint good either. I have friends overseas that quit drinking altogether after they found a herb. Hell I wish i could do that.

I am dead against hard drugs like heroin, just like I am dead against drinking bootleg liquor made in China or India.

Have you seen all the musicians that got wasted away after they make it? What's the use of trying to make it if you're gonna waste away your life after you make it and not try to "stay at the top"?

i'd bet no one who posted on this thread has ever taken any manner of drug before..

Remember not all of us have lived all our lives in singapore ;)

Oooh How I cannot wait for the parties in december when im back in Australia :weedman: :partyman: :supz:

look at metallica, their best stuff was done WITHOUT drugs. once the drugs started happening their quality of music went downhill. still rgeat, but their best was when they were drunk and not off their faces on crack.

good tunes may have been written under the influence of drugs.. or alchohol.
but im real sure the greatest minds in this world didnt have to use any drugs to enhance performance of the brain. Albert einstein most surely didnt have to hit his bong to come up with the theory of relativity, or e= mc2 .
Einstein was autistic. That's why he's so darn focused on his relativity. Besides, the only barrier to cross in special theory of relativity is the assumption that the speed of light is constant. The thing we question is: How did he make that assumption that has been proven correct? From there, everything else can be derived, even E=mc^2

Artistic creativity is different from a scientific one. They are grossly different.

It depends on where you are directing your energies too. Most autistic people are fanatical in certain subjects or activities, and because of such a devotion they tend to become experts at it.
