Do you still need more new jam studios in Singapore???

Beat merchants are one of the front runners in the jamming studio industry alongside oldbirds like boon and bmc....new blood like soundmix and fourtones create a new perspective and image that singapore jamming studio lacked. Im sure there are more to come ....

Any studio owners is kind enough to share what is the average start up cost roughly needed to open a good studio? .

average set up to start up a good studio, none. Its all about how much u willing to fork out.

Well u gotta have a sensible amount of capital in hand ofcourse, thtz for sure. Be it bank loan or inheritence or stolen cash or father's cash.

What's important to the people who go to jamming studios?

1) Equipment provided?
2) Space of room?
3) Location?
4) Sound aspects of studio?
5) Management?

If you could only pick one of the above, which would it be?

for me as a vocalist, should be sound aspects, equipments, space, management, location, this order from most to least important.

Grain's right. Sound proofing works is already a huge variable. Then you have quality of this and that, including the aforementioned equipment, lease on the place + deposit etc etc... Theres no definable average start up cost. Could be anywhere from 5k (if you manage to work out a no deposit lease with no contract! no good..) your equipment is really cheap/used/rented for start up, to skyscraper amounts (recording facility with sound-isolation partitions).

dedicated to computers, electrical and electronics...

"If you build it, they will come.."
