DIY customization - to be or not to be?

Hi all,

I'm deciding to give my guitar a make-over. it has an olympic white/cream finish (it looks aged).

I'm deciding between using poster paint/markers or getting custom stickers made.

It's a guitar I don't ever intend to sell, but I don't want to make horrific mistakes on it either. Some help please?

First step: Plan what you want to do. Do some sketches if necessary.

i did.

but i just painted the whole thing in one colour....

in your case, i'd suggest custom decals, though, in case you change your mind in future...

i see. You used poster colours of the roundabout sanding/polishing etc etc?

If so, who does decals around here?

i just sanded it down to the wood (damn tedious) sprayed with primer and used arcrylic paints... u can make stencils if you want.

and as for decals, i dont know anyone here who does them, but a quick google with come up with a few options...

You can try those rubber tapes from popular..

I did that to my yamaha..
