Hi guys, just want to check how many guys here use analog and how many digital? Please feel free to give ur feedback on wat type of effects you guys use. Thanks.

I currently use analog, but considering switching to digital due to the ease of carrying one multi-efx. Much neater too but im taking account that analog gives me more variation to the tones i want. Prehaps im wrong, feel free to give feedback.

theres the tweakability of analog pedals and the ability to use all our effects simoultaneously. thats what a digital one cant do.

but its all in the tone. my ears tell me anarog. :D

i use digilog, the best of both world. The craze havent caught on in efx world yet. If you wanna be kewl, be hip and beyond your time, go digilogue.

another choice of equal hipness, analtal...

Well, for me personally the best combination would be guitar straight into amp for powertube distortion and a tc electronics in the loop for amp switching and modulation effects. Neatness and tone all in one.

theres no fans, its all personal choice and preference cum knowing what to do with what pedals to get the sound...

the idea of getting cornered into analog/digital is pretty limiting on how much sound(not just tone) we can get.

anyway, imho. I have, last time, now, future, always say, iam a analogue fan, speed 1 to 3.

Analog does offer 1 advantage that Digital (multieffects) doesn't - the pedals tend to be simple and can be more easily tweaked on the spot.

For anyone who's not running on the same amp every time he plays (jam studios, change rooms), analog gain pedals make a lot of sense in that respect.

Modulation-wise I haven't encountered a large difference in tone when moving from one amp to another. It does seem that modulation pedals tend to be less affected by your choice of amps.

aiyoh... cannot have digital..

analog is the only way we guys here can buy 10 different pedals a month and rave about them endlessly - then sell them and buy another basket of pedals and rave about them endlessly and then sell them.... and then...
