Delay pedal recommendation

Style: Funk rock, rock and roll, blues
Guitars used: tele/strats, all single coil tones

What I'm looking for: I'm looking for something that can provide me with slapback delay and also create ambience almost tending towards a reverb.

Ambience mainly used on cleans when strumming, slapback delay for distorted solos.

My aim is to use this to provide depth, space and body to my tones. I'm not really after the edge kinda delay but thats good to have.

Price wise I'm pretty flexible as long as its not some $600 stuff.

I would go analogue, but after reading up and listening to clips on the deluxe memory man, it might not be what I'm really after. Although dave navarro's clip does sound a little of what I'm after. But I probably won't ever use the chorus/vibrato on it.

I've read the reviews of the DD-20, DD-6, DD-3, some say it sounds a tad too fake, others say lots of good stuff about it.

I hope this is enough info about my playing style and preferences would be able to allow you guys to recommend me something.

y dont u get a dd3 and hicut mod it (to make it sound more analog-ish), or get a byoc digital delay which already has hicut

i would hav recommended u a t rex replica but u said u dont want some "$600 stuff" haha

haha, i wanna be honest, cause i'm not after some uber leet delay that can give me some outer space earth to jupiter kinda delay.

I don't have a real need for delay that runs into the seconds.

Analogue cause i want the cleans to sound more natural. No reverb unit onboard my amp. lol.

I am using a CMATmods Deeelay to great effect, with regards to adding that extra 'dimension'.

I needed a delay to layer my tone, so to speak. To add some ambience. I was looking for something simple, and something of quality. And I finally settled on the Deeelay.

yea the replica isnt made to giv u eternities of delay time, its expensive cuz of its warmth as a delay

i wld say dd20 or DL4 to get all ur delay needs. they cost less than $600 too

Aside form the name, this delay is verryy nice (using it for my metal and rock band). Analogue no frills delay.
