Could this be the solution to portable PC (not notebook)

Heads up!

The daw-in-a-small-box initiative has finally some results. There were a few issues but the man and his comrades behind the device have worked hard to implement their creativity onto circuit boards and show us a working product.

This was actually a spin-off due to unforeseen circumstances (mainly lack of funding, until Intel and Samsung came into the picture), so it's not exactly how it was meant to be. Some hardware ins and outs are not present as what the prototype outlined a year ago or so, but given time it will surely evolve.

This Beta device is up for sale at 999USD. Sure, the team had wanted to go lower than that but unfortunately, some effects of these kinds of businesses are unforgiving. Before Samsung was decided upon, Ronald (the man) approached big-timers like TASCAM and Rain. They were interested, but afraid of Linux. The limited run intial production (LRIP), according to Ron, was quite expensive. Echo has been really helpful, but they can only go as far as the audio circuitry. So until a big figure steps in, it'll be difficult to achieve the core feature of the idea; low-cost.
