Confirmed Cancelled Caliban Show in Singapore

We really regret and sincerely sorry to announce this but the Caliban show in Singapore is confirmed have been CANCELLED.
Reason due to ultra bad respond for the show which i guess accounted mostly from the packed shows in August (Singfest,DeathCab,Envy..)

On behalf of the team, hope you guys..The Guest Bands and those who have awaited for the show,would forgive us for this sadden us as much.

Those who still really wanna watch them ,you might wanna catch them Live In Kuala Lumpur on the 2nd of August instead featuring Myproof(Japan).

Next is important::
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BOUGHT THE TICKETS, YOU CAN ONLY GET YOUR REFUNDS BACK STRICTLY FROM THE PLACE/PERSON YOU BOUGHT FROM.
YOU CAN ONLY GET YOUR REFUNDS BACK FROM 30TH JULY (WEDNESDAY) ONWARDS.

Nonsense la....you bring band unheard of to most people. Venue damn out of the way and tickets so expensive.

Death Cab, most likely. Seriously.
I mean there's alot of caliban fans/listeners here.
Im not mad at the organizers at all. I would like to thank them instead for the effort for trying to bring them in and losing money already for tix/poster productions.

However, im pissed at the people.
Kids say they listen metal. Kids say they love metal.
Kids even play metal.
But when acts like this (which is soo hard to come by, especially on our shores), where have all these kids gone?!
Dont say not enough money. Yes, maybe it is true, but i dont see the effort or such hypes frm them at all.

Caliban does have their followers here.
All those IJ and Gas Haus days when people kept chanting for more Caliban covers, all put to waste.

Caliban is not my favourite btw. Im just speaking in general.
This relates to other artistes as well.
Some people just claim to be their fans but yet dont give shiiiit abt the artiste when they're coming. And the reason?
... "Oh, not enough money ah bro".

i pity the organizers, really.

Hmm, this could be bad for the metal scene actually. Not sure about the repercussions but if the band themselves spread word that response to playing here is bad then there might some problems to getting other bands to play.

Must be tough for the organizers to put it to them that the response was bad.

wat production isit? the poster says...TGAG and Friends Team...never heard of them before...have they organise any local shows before?

anyway, the organisers cant blame singfest/death cab/envy...their just unlucky dat all these artistes are coming over around the same time and the "kids" find singfest/deathcab/envy more appealing to watch rather den watching caliban...and the organisers too cant be blame...at least they tried their best to bring in caliban...im sure their making a big loss in this...

True bro.. I was just about to mention the Dismember part..

A 20 year old band that finally came to Singapore and manage to play in front of about 200 people.. And now Caliban doesn't have that many supporters despite the publicity since a few months ago? Dismember was only 3 weeks before they came..

And also agree with what Euphorica said..
Some people claim to be their fans but when the band comes, 'NO MONEY'.. When comes to watch your friends play at local gig every week which cost 10 bucks, got money..

it's always sad to see something like that happen. i remember vaguely recently, Brett Anderson of Suede had to cancel his show here too, for the same reasons.

dismember gig was one of the most interesting gigs of the year as it was my real "death metal" gig ever. and to actually see all genuine metal heads together was a sight to behold.

i think those people who pay 10 bucks for those small scale shows, they are just very socially active.

i would have paid to go watch Caliban if my examinations did not fall during that period of time and Caliban is not exactly my favourite band. i'll pay to go as i have always like to go watch bands of calibre play.

no 1 to blame and i feel sad is the org flyer and the early bird tix make alot ppl feel bad, maybe they r new to bring in such great band. sry if i say somethg wrong..
in the sec plc caliban live in jap their tix price range between $35-$45 for my point i din really understand y their tix selling here is so expensive anyway all is over, if u really dont wan 2 miss the band go kl this what i can say. dismember show is great and the price is reasonable and they got same thing wif caliban both of them transit at sg airport and not a huge big show the price not to mark up so high not that metalcore fan poor or rich is just worth the price or not???

haiya..when bands come the singapore and play and the sound system like shit ppl complain.when organisers put ticket prices abit higher to spend more on the sound and lights production.ppl still complain tix prices too expensive.might as well dont listen to music if you are not willing to spend money on such things.and the ticket prices are actually only 10-15 bucks higher den some of the other shows.dont tell me u cant get 10-15 bucks more.i think pri sch students save their money 3 days also can get.hahah.

and ppl should also know that the prices might be lower at other countries cos mayb there are more sponsors there. our local organisers still take the risk of spending their money on this stuffs ppl still dont appreciate it.
