Complains about MIC Epiphone Les Pauls??

I met a really, really terrible Ibanez at the 1K+ price range, and its Dimarzios weren't too stellar either. My low-end Ibanez Gio actually feels (cannot compare tone, different amp used, different strings, etc) much better, and feels better-made too.

An indon made XPT700 i believe? The QC is inconsistent, some are good, some are bad, you got a bad one.

Haha yeah that's the one, I think I told you about it over MSN... Yeah I think it was Indonesian-made, I remember seeing the label behind the headstock and thinking "strange, since when did Ibanez's Indonesian-made guitars cost this much?".

Actually, I find that Indonesia makes some really superb guitars.

I'm sure many people forget how BIG countries like INDONESIA and CHINA are. For every horrible worker who makes horrible shoddy MIC Epiphones or MII Ibanezes there will be another worker who is more proud of his own work and make better guitars.

It's no coincidence the best woodcarvers in the world are from Indonesia, China?

After having tried superb MIC and MII guitars, and having tried horrid MIA guitars, I just can't be bothered anymore.. :???:

Everdying: the Indonesian epis may or may not happen. i've got news that there r some issues between the company here and gibson. should the issue not be resolved, epiphone Indonesia will not happen. BUT there r a lot of MII epis circulating in the Indonesian online market. and going for dirt cheap prices too. most r SGs tho, LPs r more or less sold out..

Call me bias, but I usually avoid MIC or MII guitars like a plague. I choose consistent QC anytime to avoid selection headache.

MIA stuff can be inconsistent too. However some Yanks would defend their products by saying....MIA guitars may not have the best QC, but they certainly got the thing called MOJO !!! :D

what's mojo?

Yup, with MIC/MII, do not reject them based on where their made, if you try a piece and you like it, DON'T ASK FOR A NEW PIECE! I went through 3 before I got my V blade!

But didn't you write on the Guitar Review section you were disappointed by it compared to your Iceman? Can't remember.. Read it awhile back..

I am disappointed, because the iceman really is nicer to play. I just really liked the neck profile, the heel, though pretty horrible for a neck through, is acceptable. I got it because it was so goddamn cheap, 800SGD, its selling for 1.4k here, and the iceman weighs a TON compared to the V blade, if it sounded worse, I'd chuck it.
