Compatible Boss Pedals With MT2?

Do i make sense ? :)

Of course! But I can't find a ratcheting pot that allows me to easily dial my knob down by a fixed amount everytime, and this wastes quite a bit of time and concentration for me... (I can't multi-task lah...)

So I leave it much to the pedals...:mrgreen:

Plus, for me, since none of my pedals are at full gain, the cascading noise isn't so bad...

Kernelspy: You're right! I didn't mention what I wanted to get from the pedal. PAISEH!. But what you said is what I wanted (gain boost) for solos.

If I put the TS-9 first instead of the distortion will it make a diff?.
Guitar -> TS-9 -> Crunchbox/DS-1 -> Amp

Which one is worth getting? TS-9 or SD-1?.

If gain boost, then do what I advised -->

Guitar --> CrunchBox --> TS9 --> Amplifier

Also take note that that CB already has too much gain so you might want to just set it around 10 - 12 o'clock on gain knob then just step on the TS9/ SD-1 when you want to get MORE gain... think of the new Satch pedal Satchurator... similar technology.

Ts9 vs. Sd-1 ey? hmmm... similar voicing in my opinion. The Ibanez pedal take note that it boost your MIDs that can be beneficial in live band situation but for stand alone... forget it... it may also cut bass frequencies when engaged but I will still prefer it over Sd-1... maybe it's just me... SD for me is mediocre and Ibanez has more MOJO.

Sure...what i do is ... first>>get the "solo" tweaked, where the volume knob on my guitar is at 10(max), pedal and amp gain/volume to desired level.
Now roll down to 9~7 on your guitar ....you get rhythm gain/volume.

This method gives better control and reduces pedal "tap dancing" & noise you get from cascading.

When you cascade, pedals are in "half ass" mode with their gain and volume lowered and may sound impressive but lack lots more in character and feel....all that mush!!

Do i make sense ? :)

I get you bro... but with all do respect but I think it still depends on what song you are currently playing with this trick. Been doing this technique for several years now with my Overdrive pedals and I think this is more inclined to alternative to Blues settings. I can leave my RAT on all the time and just control my volume to get semi clean to raging singing solos when set to 10 on my guitar. But for all high gain music... e.g. Pantera, Metallica, STP... might not be ok. :-D

Hahahahhha... Yup, that works well too! :D
I got that tip from Guitar Player mag in the 90's.
I remembered its by one of those metal players... (Dimebag probably coz there's lots of expletives involved in the interview! Or Anthrax or Exodus???) :?:

And Van Halen was (is?) using that "technique" with his Ernie Ball guitar.
That's the reason the volume knob is labelled "tone"... :mrgreen:
