you know what the organiser told me? ok word for word "ya if you never sell all tickets you can't play. it's because we put your name in a flyer AND magazine, then it will make you FAMOUS." word for word no lies i loving swear. :) if he can't keep his word, i won't either lol.[/b]

Make the bands famous by puttin their names in magazine?

What magazine?

right... eh gashaus gigs have a very bad reputation now. at least to me. like anyone can gig there.

quantity over quality, 10+ bands per gig, relatively unknown, mostly heavy/thrash/hardcore, smash equipment, complain about sound, etc.

quite sad since the guys running the place are really awesome. maybe they're too nice. or the gig organizers are doing things wrong.

personally you'd never catch me at one of those gigs at gas haus with fifteen unknown bands. i'd sooner pay 15-20 bucks to catch 3 good bands play good, full sets.

am quite upset with the gig. didnt manage to sell the last 5 unsold tix, the organisers die die forced us to sell and we had to fork out our own cash. we were supposed to perform at around 7 or 8 but were pushed to the last slot at 10 plus. it seems like we pay to play and the crowd was very disappointing. for those who agreed to my own point of view please dun participate in gigs like this where we had to sell tickets around. this sounds like network marketing where we will get commission if we sold certain amount of tickets. to me this is bullshit. we're no superbands where we have hundreds and thousands of groupies to sell tix to. this is bull$h*#.

so sad so sad Homicidal Rage(HR) is the last slot, great set, dissapointing crowd. =( less than 10 people watched thier set.

HR played last band and that was like 10.30pm... and still they had to fork out money to cover the tickets unsold... and the turnout of the crowd at that time???? was just a freaking miserable less than 10 people! the 2nd last band at least got like ard 20 ppl supporting them but after their set, all of them left.. they should have at least stayed and watch the last band play a few songs before leaving.. bands should really boycott this kinda gigs in future..

This is regarding Gas Haus, in all aspects of quality, professionalism and equipment wise.

IMO, the staff/sound crew at Gas Haus was fantastic. I asked the soundman if I could see if my mic settings(I had heard all the rumours about the soundcrew adjusting the PA whilst the performance), he very politely showed me my settings. I asked if he could get my high frequency a little over the 6th notch and he did so with a smile if I may add. I could not ask for more, I've had soundmen constantly lowering my volume and playing around with the settings I had originally prefixed before my set and I am very proud of having such professionalism in one of today's more frequented gig venues.

On behalf of Anger Artistry(The Lamb Of God cover band), the 3 of us would like to thank all those who came to the front to support our set. Friends and spectators alike. We admit it was a unacceptable performance and we would not want to put any excuse of not having enough time to prepare of whatsoever. We thank the crowd for the tremendous support, applause and the organisers for even taking us in. We apologise once again for the sheer lack of competence and professionalism.

Much thanks,
Joel Artistry

i have a question which is open to bands performing and the organizers..

if a band managed to sell, let's say, 15 tix and its already ard 8pm on the gig day. you (that band) tell the organizer that sellin 15 tix was the best you can do. then he replied, insisting you have to sell at least 80% (21 tix) out of the 25 tix beacuse of some stupid rule or cost to cover up the rent... then how do you expect to find 6 freaking ppl to come and buy your ticket in a short period of time when your band is playing in 1 or 2 hrs time???
