what's so good about gashaus? why do tickets for gigs held there cost $10? and worse, if i'm not wrong, each band must sell at least around 20 - 30 tickets?! and how come more and more gigs are at gashaus?

the topic here is about the christmas core...so stop complaining bout the venue....just have patience and i'm sure more venues will open up to more gigs.....

the organiser is earnin from the poor bands....
If i'm not wrong..bands are suppose to be paid rather then to PAY for gig..
Bands use their hard earn time to practise to prove themselves and be notice by others..not to spend time selling tickets...and somemore like forcing friends to come support...
and if venue is too exp..its also not part of the band resposibilty its should be the organiser job to fiond more sponser...isnt it so?

as far as money is in concern, the sound quality at gas haus is really bad if you dont know your stuffs. the soundman speaks like as if he owns the world. we will NEVER help you out. it's the biasednes in his skin. if he looks at you like some youngster, he'll just shove you away and ask you do your own thing.
bassists beware, you will not find a proper bass amp on stage. they'll be using this freaking i dont know somewhat like a P.A system speaker. Put it you're playing a Fender or Musicman high end bass, once you plug in, you will just bring your whole band down because of your crappy sound (regardless of any type of bass/bass pedals you use). it is like you have an engine of a RC car in a ferrari. just beats your performance.
but anyways, gas haus will definitely be far more better than I.J. screw I.J.
money money money. it's all about the money. you see the reason why bands are given the task to sell tickets because they might have friends who will want to support them. or they have their musician friends that they might want to bring along. so in a sense it is supposed to be made that the purchasing of tickets flows within the musically interests of the type of gig. and of course some tickets then will the organizer pass around and bla bla bla it goes on.
so what if you dont get a comission. your task is to just publicise what crap you're doing on that date. if you dont sell, lesser will know about it and no one will ever know about it without the aid of advertisemets and mouth to mouth spread. so whats the big deal even if you get paid the comission?. if you did not manage to sell the ALL your tix, it's your problem isn't it? if not for the organizers, you retards won't have the chance to show your stupidity up there.
