CAVEvents Apology For 17th March

NOTE*: CAVE would like to apologize for the gig that was held at gashaus on the 17th March. We were assisting them with the advertising, promotion and the lineup of bands. WE HAD A PRE-AGREEMENT THAT THE EVENT WAS TO BE FREE FOR ALL and no cover charge was supposed to be in place on that night. For those who came, we are truly sorry that a cover charge was requested by the staff of gashaus at the door when the event poster had stated otherwise. This was a decision on gashaus' part and we were only informed of it on the night itself. We are very sorry and we would ensure that this does not happen again in the future. THE 2ND EVENT ON THE 23 OF MARCH AT GASHAUS WILL BE CANCELLED. Once again we would like to apologize for the misunderstanding and will ensure that problems like this do not happen in the future.

We are really very sorry and we are pulling our name out of the event on the 23rd as we do not see it worth our time neither is it worth putting our name on the line, if it is just going to be another fiasco. Some people are just hard to work with i guess.

No wonder we have bands that complain about not getting paid and getting lousy service and such. BECAUSE of such people like CAVEevents, being organizers you guys can't even reach to a consensus of an agreement. I strongly suggest to stop organizing such gigs and go for training on how to become a proper organizer.

lol. think about it yea.. we did have a pre-agreement. we spoke to the management. and the best part is. we didnt get a single cent of anything . we were just supposed to help them out. clearly stated HELP them out it was supposed to be a win win situation. E.g. the crowd buys drinks from gashaus and they will profit from those drinks and we get to use the venue for free to hold a good gig with a nice crowd. thanks to the change, half the crowd went off. Do you think we'd bullshit on that?

i feel for CAVE..... now their name is spolit..... keep doing what you guys do.... disregard ppl like taylorboy who dunno how to read....

We have held sucessful gigs which the crowd, venue and bands are left happy and unlike you whom are sitting in your seat complaining, we are out there and we we're only supposed to help them with the lineup and stuff its not our event.

what we are saying is that we owe the crowd and apology and we do not want our name tarnished cause we have done good gigs and will do better ones in the future, for all this time, all the gigs we have organized has been leaving everyone happy and i hope that you do rethink your decision before kicking dirt on peoples shoes before you even found out what was acutally going on taylorboy.

and if we were about to cheat peoples money we would not have fallen out with gashaus. it was a rash last minute decision on their part. and it really is very damaging to our name as we now lie in the grey area as a supporting organizer for the event, which we really regret doing

and ermm.. dont argue over this.. its really not worth. if some people choose to believe taylorboy then let it be. maybe he's been cheated one too many times.. its sad how the scene makes some people cynical when other ( not pointing fingers ) more sketchy organizers out there make the job hard for us.

and by the way.. in response to

Taylorboy:
ya la ya la anything go wrong, first thing to do is to post on soft.com before people start poking their nose. Very good la hor!

bollocks...

It is only right that we put out an official apology to everyone who came down.. we would not mind if people start asking us about it.. we have nothing to hide.. and we would tell you honestly what happened..

[/quote]

you state that on your posters that there are no cover charges included. But when people bought their tickets, they did not asked you guys why gashaus charged them? Not even one of the customers came to you guys?

the cover charge was for 1 complimentary drink. and people did ask us why and we told them so, and we also told them that we would not hold it against them to not come for the event, after we heard about the $5 charge at the door, we were trying to dissuade people from buying and the crowd decreased but we ensured that the bands did not have to pay anything.

but we honestly did not know anything about it until we arrived. so well we tried our best. Some people found it worth their 5 bucks for the line up of bands. but its still an apology on our part cause it was supposed to be free.. we cant change the cover charge. cause thats out of our control.

nothing the organizer can do if the venue owner/s of Gas Haus decides to unilaterally impose a cover charge rite?

take a chill pill taylorboy...you sound sooo angsty lol.

The fact is ' NEVER GIG AT GASHAUS ANYMORE'

They is like ruining the industry and ruining the organizer's name.

CAve is doing good.

Appologies accepted for me. :) Cheerios !

Taylorboy87

gashaus pulled a last min stunt and told them the crowd must pay..
in what bloody way is that CAVE's fault??

did you get scolded by mummy when you fell sick and it cost a bomb at the clinic???
PROBABLY SO..
that's why you're bringing CAVE's name down..

when CAVE deserves the recognition as fantastic DGOs who are truely helping the local scene by DOING SOMETHING(unlike you sitting there honey)

please dont say anything anymore..
*whisper*ppl are laughing at you..

5 bux also want to complain!! hahahaha... knn

theres one thing the crowd should understand. They want to be entertained, prepare to pay a lil bit. for example buy drinks, stuff like that. Probably y the venue decide to make a cover charge last minute due to fear of not making any money at all for allowing a free gig to take place. Pls be understanding. if the cover is like 10-12 bucks, maybe i can understand...but 5? tsk tsk tsk

Taylorboy, to give you an idea of how I feel,

You're a numbskull with a pile of steaming ripe curd for a brain :D

Can you see how the smiley makes it 10 times worse?

I don't think you have a pile of steaming ripe curd for a brain by the way i'm just illustrating the whole "why i hate smileys after obviously unfriendly posts" issue i'm having. I think, though, that with the little that you were blessed with you might've learned to use it. Most of us use no more than 5% of our brains, but you, my friend, should reevaluate the efficiency with which you use your miniscule cranium.

Anyway, I think Visa's alright, but i guess because you've only organised a few gigs in the past and you're still green there probably was some loophole in the initial agreement that was overlooked, but I think you guys are going to be just fine.

And i think posting an apology on soft is smart and sensible, because you alert people to the truth before it gets twisted, and I don't think it's just about covering your ass, it's nice to have made a public apology.

I believe there are several sides to the same story though and I think before long someone's going to come from the other side and offer his own version for everyone to consider.

some people juz dun appreciate effort.

all they do is sit on their lazy disease infected ass infront of the monitor and lash out to unsuspecting victims.

to such people: why not organise a gig of your own?
