Hi!I have a Timbre strat electric guitar and the guitar produce a bad sound when I use with my heavy metal effect...do I need to change the equipment of my guitar?eg;change pickup, add more effect pedal or something else?or stratocaster just can't do metal?

If you think that Strats cannot do metal, go look up Dave Murray. Heck, Jim Root mainly uses Telecasters for his work and recently got a new signature Strat.

swap your stock pup's to something more intense and if you ask anyone they'll prolly tell you hotrail's are the way to go :)
anw this topic has been asked all the time, i would suggest u search around the web..

Switch to actives if you don't mind the battery compartments. Or else use a D-Activator, or Tone Zone. Pretty hot stuff. And if your strat is SSS, you might wanna consider cutting the cavities to allow humbuckers.
Most important? Your technique. That's it. Even a crap guitar will sound fine if a good guitarist plays it.

ORRRRRR, it could be your amp :). My amp at home sucks, but when playing in church, sounds awesome! Marshall Valvestate 100 FTW

i say, change your pickups.

like wad Jumpin'Jellybean say.
i heard good comments about the D-activators.

I can vouch that dactivator is good, defintly a bang for buck.. tho im using it on the neck for solo's and fills so as for metal on a strat i would recommend you do something bout your bridge :) anw nvr knew that they had d activators as single coils?.. if not i dont think ts would actually spend the money re-routing just to fit a buckle in..

I think you should get someone who knows how to play metal to go give your setup a try before doing any of what is mentioned above. Metal isn't all about heavy distortion only... contrary to popular belief... Technique is also needed...

Any guitar despite the brand or shape can play any genre of songs, its all up to the player and the players knowledge of messing around with what he has :)

gimme an acoustic and i can do metal for you................................

anyway, a poor workman blames his tools.

i know who they are:rolleyes:
but dont you think that there are other types of guitar of the shelf that's more metal friendly yes no ?
