Aiyah, 20th my casual band 'Little Wing' planning to go up the stage at Actor's leh.
They wanted to perform cos my drummer's going to the US for studies soon, so he says he wants to perform on stage once before he goes. We initially wanted to take part in Powerjam but my bassist actively involved as a marshal in F1 Singapore, so his weekends are burnt.
See how lah.
Otherwise, I vote Tetra bro to organize this VHC, and if can I will join you guys after my time at Actor's.

Andy has also suggested a VH for sharing experiences and to discuss how to expand the local music industry (or something along that line?). He's sourcing for a venue at the moment, but I'll open a thread once it's confirmed.

28th June? That's some time from now so it's easier to get more people to confirm?
:/ The thing with this VHC/VHs is that most people don't go to the forum regularly, so I'd prefer giving some time to confirm things and inform the masses.. then we can expand the network...
I'd want to catch heckler on 20th if his band is confirmed on the date to perform on Actors, but there's a slim chance of me making it on that day. I might be late, at most, but it sounds like a good time and place for the next VHC.

omg. i totally missed this thread out. really sorry guys...
well, i have been extremely busy during this period cos i was attached to a parimary school as a form teacher.
Anyway, i'll be glad to share my small experience and limited knowledge to all.
bout the organising committee, is it confirmed? let's make a thread? on this? probably one of the committee members be a moderator so that we can have our details stickied down and the section be spick and span?
i would love to commit but i don't think i'll be able to. i'd probably just come to hang and chill with you guys.
Anyway, looking through this thread, i'm proposing that you guys do this:
1. Confirm the organising committee members for VHC and VH. those voted and volunteering must be serious and dedicated and firm.
2. Confrim 1/2 Venues for VHC and VH so there won't be much discussion about venue. Would appreciate if we could get a permanent reservation for at least till end of year.
3. Make rules/corrective order for all VHC/VH events eg. funding, logistics, budget, guests attendance.
4. (TRY) to get a moderator for this section so we can keep it tidy, sticky and limit important threads (committee members, venues, events for VHC and VH)
5. Person who is organising next session, allocated a few dates and do a poll. Then publish the results based on the date when most are available and confirm the event on that day.
i sound like i know how to organise things but i think i won't have time to commit. like i said, i'd love to but i can't. so maybe i'd just advise those who are organising.

Hey which school? I used to be a teacher myself. But decided to quit as I need to grow my hair. Hehehehe!! Last time we used to 'tekan' trainee teachers everytime they are attached to us. Hehehe!! Still got friends whose in the industry. Well...you know some of them are now principal already. But most of my friends are now in Secondary school. But some still stay put at primary schools.
Coming back again to VHC and VH, well that would be ideal as what you've suggested. But you know executing it, can be a nightmare. Getting someone to organise is already good. Well...I'm more into VHC. The man now is Hecklerkoch but he seemed to be busy too. fgl then,lead the show! Hehehehe!
