Bringing Your Own Instruments

lucky im not the singer for my band.but some places have their amps harrased by morons till it sounds like shyte.

eh we drummers bring our own stuff as well!

cymbals!

extra stands!

double pedals!

cowbell!

tambourine!

stickbag full with sticks!

i'm not too bothered by mics though. dont sing so dont really bother to go near em. i get really pissed off by studios with trashed-up amps though. like alvron. pcb.

haha, yeah alvron. but these bad equipments are not because of the studio owner, even if they are suppose to ensure that the equipments are working properly, its because of the people who jams there! the kids anyhow set here set there, vol on high high, plug here plug there, doing things which they are not suppose to do to the amp. They need education if you ask me.

yeah and most new jammers will tap and blow into the mic for soundcheck, haizzz, for goodness sake speak/talk/sing into the mic!

mic heavy?

haha i do backing vocals in mi band and i carry mi sm58, guitar, adaptor, adaptor, pedal and laptop everytime i jam, it just depends on how dedicated a musician u are =)

anw a shure sm58/sm57 should be less than $120 at esden at sim lim

Maybe those big bungalow have basements..etc.

I haven't started playing in studios yet, but I'll probably bring my own instruments and stuff regardless of how heavy... since there's got more chemistry with my own stuff than using what is provided.

well i bring my essential cymbals to studios where i know have horrendous pieces of metal which are pathetic excuses for cymbals. u gotta sound good man..
Heh but most of e time im lazy

haha.. if everybody is bringing their instruments..
jamming studio jus need to provide the drums and the sound system next time and need not provide the guitars in the risk of being spoilt.

The case for *scape studios? Friends jammed there and commented that their room was excellent. Great amps, great mics.. but no instruments provided. But they are available for rent though.

Anyone else jammed there?

i've heard good reviews for *scape jamming studio too. but i thought got instruments provided? i saw on their myspace that they've got a gibson les paul studio and an epiphone studio for loan.

gibson suck now though. the quality is bad and most people dont like cos the fretboard to big or sth. or at least that's what my guitarist friends tell me; maybe they just hate gibson. all them fender whores.
