Blackheart Amps

thus far i've never got any complaints. think its becos my upstairs neighbour plays the drums and my downstairs neighbour, i am quite sure, owns a home studio as well..

Good?

I've seen 2 pple selling the Little Giant online already after like 2 months of usage.... Is it good? Not much of reviews online too...

How does it sound when in clean mode? Keen in getting one, but I`ll have to try it 1st..:)

Good price for a head/cab combo.

Btw.. In addition to my question about whether effects will shine through the amp, I'd like to ask if Yamaha has the Handsome Devil..
And also, is the cab any good? I feel like getting a 2x12" with Celestions..
So I'd just get the Blackheart head..

i just tried one today. haha its quite nice for its price. takes pedals quite well too

but too bad there was a vox there. i loved the tone from the vox so much more

I dislike Vox amps.. Fender also so-so only..
I prefer Marshalls, Epiphones, Randalls..
Looking at a Blackheart casue its more versatile than a VJ..

how much is the handsome devil with the cab? am interested to get it eh looks good. is it also avaliable at yahmaha?

I started this thread and never posted anything. Sorry about that. Looks like the Handsome Devil's worth a wait. It retails for US$299 for the head and $399 for the combo. If Yamaha brings them in I should be getting it. Just a question, what does 'solid state rectifier' mean? This is my first time venturing into tube circuitry and everything else seems rather new. Been wanting to own one.

I've seen quite some people sell off their heads after 2-3 weeks of use and I wonder why. The Little devil have been churning out good reviews but is there some negativity? I know this has been posted before but how much of 15 watts of tube power is equivalent to solid state power? 5 watts is already some 'trouble' for home use, I know 15 watts would somehow be overkill but I could use it for gigs/jam sessions. I've been eyeing on either the Handsome devil, the Orange Tiny Terror or the 18 Watt TMB by Ceriatone. I know these amps are totally different and a tad more expensive so if there are some input possible, please do shed some light. I don't want to buy an amp and regret, it's quite a huge leap as money does not come by easy.

Thanks.

Hi mate,

Trust me, 5 watts cranked is quite loud for home use. If you want more headroom go for 15, this will be plenty of power. I have Tiny terror, its not my cup of tea, though some people love it, when they try it at my house they wet themselves. Personal pref really. This will be really surprising, though on the TT I dislike the overdrive, but the cleans to semi breakup, on bridge single coil, sounds like heaven.

Ive tried a hiwatt 5W I think, but I didnt really like it, no distortion! Decent cleans, but not really that sparky, probably needs a booster pedal or something for dirt.

I am really keen to try a Blackheart but I dont think anyone here supplies them, post some clips someone!
