BIG NIGHT OUT Featuring The Ting Tings

this is the part which i don't understand v well...since commodity prices such as oil [transport] are decreasing, shouldn't it be cheaper to fly bands in? also, at the current state of the economy and tourism, isn't hotels slashing their prices too? all the above actually makes it cheaper to brings bands down now..but ticket prices are increasing?

Not really, due to the decreasing amount of CDs/ albums/ paid digital downloads being sold, bands/ acts find it harder to survive purely on record sales. Licensing doesn't come all the time.

Hence, they go on the road more and charge more in fact.

Honestly, sometimes the things they ask for in the back stage rider are ridiculous!

i find it expensive at 85-105. especially for a new band like the ting tings. i kinda like them, but i really think its overpriced.

i paid less than 80 for a7x and i think its pretty reasonable. they have been around for awhile and had 3 full length albums to their names. i went for stereophonics as well and their tickets are 85-110, just like the ting tings. but stereophonics are one of welsh biggest bands and have been around for a decade. i dont think you can say that abt the ting tings right.

a friend of mine caught INTERPOL (grrrrr) at a gig in seattle for around 20 sing dollars. i know asking for these international acts to play here for 20 bucks is impossible, but surely 50-70 is a more reasonable price, especially for The Ting Tings?
