BIG NIGHT OUT Featuring The Ting Tings

Considering the fact, Singapore's venue is small and such.
The ting tings not bad what. :)

Wondering which local band gonna open for this show.

So who's going!? :)

No ones wrong or right. If watching a band in Europe costs 50 cents, then go to Europe. If the band plays here expensive, then don't go.

(this post is not aimed at Lil Rampage) LOL

If only singapore is big with billions of people, then the tix price would be cheaper. :)

Yes , Im going. Gonna take leave on that day!

ha,i guess just wait for the time im off work then go straight to fort canning.
dun really mind standing in the back though as long as i catch the show.

appreciate the light-hearted humour, BlackAcidDevil. i'll be going down if i happen to have cash to spare. and Prodigy too!

a european or american tour will have the band flying into a starting location and then taking a tour bus around the continent. In Singapore, you have them just flying in and out for one concert. It does makes logistical sense to charge more.

In Berlin, i caught DCFC for 27 euros which is about 54 sgd and it was 20 pounds for their show in London. to pay 85 sgd might be a bit more expensive but it's definately not screaming bloody murder if you consider the extra cost of setting up for just one gig.

that being said tho. i think there are enough non-hardcore ting ting fans to double the attendance if they ticket price is halved... but then that's the organizer's prerogative.

and that's cos Sistic's fees are crazy and there are taxes to be paid.

you think organizers want to charge you high tickets?
they don't have a choice.

all sistic ticket for international band are always ranging from $85-$115
never seen lower or higher

back to 05 to earlier last year, the price around 60-80.

now price for everything seems rising up,transport, house rental, power bill, blah blah.

ha,no choice.

this is the part which i don't understand v well...since commodity prices such as oil [transport] are decreasing, shouldn't it be cheaper to fly bands in? also, at the current state of the economy and tourism, isn't hotels slashing their prices too? all the above actually makes it cheaper to brings bands down now..but ticket prices are increasing?

errr no not really
local hotel prices may have gone down slightly after the F1 thing
but we still have one of the highest in-town hotel prices in the region
just ask around

even hotel 81 is not cheap these days
