Baybeats 08

vx02

vx02, no one is hating baybeats. i think most here dont have any issues with the bands that got into baybeats...everyone is just offering their input and suggestions for perhaps a more diverse festival in the future? who knows? No matter how good something is, there is always room for improvement....and plus not everyone is shooting their mouth off either so pls try not to generalise cos its unfair. i hope you'll understand. (:

Meanwhile i'm still looking forward to the next instalment of baybeats....even if its not the kinda music for some people....Its still the next best gig to go to cos its FREE......

my FREE GIFT :D

SINGFest? WOMAD? Good Vibrations? All these are at least $50 for entry.

I wouldn't consider Mosaic as one festival since it's mainly a number of ticketed shows lumped into an event.

ZoukOut features over 20 international DJ s and live acts. Close to 20,000 peeps turned up this year. Is that big enuff for you?

haha ized bro, i get your drift no prob. FREE is always good! and we're very lucky baybeats is FREE and GOOD. haha ;)

hey cliffburton,to ans your question we (duxton plains) sadly had to reject the auditions offer cuz our vocalist will be enlisting in ns 2 days b4 the auditions.we cudnt go through the auditions with a replacement as it wudnt feel very right.but thanxx for the love.lets show our support to the other bands be it metal, heavy, indie, pop or whateva lah.heheh.cant wait for this years baybeats im rooting for silhoutte.hope to see caracal, ava, firefight, gse & plain sunset this year =)

hahaha, Bay beats should be Held at Padang with more Stages :) like Woodstock or Mos. Invite more Malaysian Indonesian bands and hold it overnight!!! Just my 2 cents worth! hahah.

i think esplanade has done a fantastic job together with the other co-producers. don't think it's that easy to liase and juggle so many bands and get them all to fit in over a 3 day event. kudos to them. as for the genre and all that, well, it's an alternative indie event, so i dont know about hardcore/metal/rock&roll bands hahaha. maybe some one could step out and organise a really big one where there's a decent mix of all the genre's at a decent location.

yeah pinkbox.sadly we had to pull out.hopefully next year we'll try again i gez =)
anw about bringin in other genres in baybeats i think baybeats already made a name for itself by being an alternative/indie festival which i think is pretty kewl.but it wud be more kewl if they were to bring in other more heavier genres to the festival.so far the most heavy ive seen they had was AVA,Lovemebutch & they had Blindside last year which was totally off the hook!!maybe they cud have a special stage just for those kinda metal, heavy rock,post-hardcore,heavy & i mean kinda heavy kinda bands.just a suggestion =)

haha I could picture Baybeats with different stages for different genres in the near future, just like Download Festival!!

There wont be too many additional stages for Baybeats anytime soon... where would they put it???

BTW for those of you looking out for some heavy bands check out day three of Wake Up Your Weekend which will be 1 -3 feb at Esplanade powerhouse

3 feb programme will feature A Vacant Affair and Sky In Euphoria

Maybe Esplanade are starting to open up to heavier bands??

wow.sky in euphoria aye.long time since ive seen them in action.wud be kewl to see their new stuff.must watch.jerome's voice is a mongster i tell ya!!hahaha =)
