Agree...we are just a band...not the organiser...we got the choice to choose on which gig we wanna perform in..the more we talk bout it, the more bands we might disappoint..as there are bands who are interested or are ok with it too...

Not very sure...i email the organiser just now..but there is not more slots for the first two days....
 
Tickets? Competition or show? Please clarify...how much is the tickets? Cause ticket price will actually affect the sales..not the band themself.

hmmm...Its stated that it's a competition...but there are min tickets sales also..
There is no harm joinin..i guess my band will just treat it as a normal weekend gig..cuz its same like some other gig that we have to sell tickets to perform, just that there are no hope of any prizes to be won..
For the prizes wise...we shall just see whether who will be the luckli band who get it...

lets meet up during the event day!
 
everyone is overlooking one point. lets say a band which is really not that good, manages to sell all their tickets. 20% BAM immediately. AND DONT FORGET the voting. Most likely, friends will vote for friends. so very easily, give and take perhaps, about 40% can EASILY be reached simply based on ticket selling and bringing a large amount of friends. And what is the point of music then? might as well just throw a party at dxo not even a gig.

This is just speculation from me but i strongly believe that our friend EXTREMEVOLUME is VERY linked to the organiser, if its not the organiser herself. evidence? check out the join date, AND all the posts made. EVERY post is only on this thread. enough said.

not music skill
been tryin to let all this band here knows
to warn them about wat could just happen
wat if ur good but couldnt sell then lose
would u be humiliated?
at least save your band names
than rather join this type of competition

#Tim098..Jason here, previous from froplay Productions after dat helpin Mark Koh of Nebo...i no longer do gig anymore...i am managin some indonesia bands now..and i had just created this account cuz i am organisin a Batam/Singapore gig soon...and these the first thread that i came in...so done get it wrong...if any one interested in my comin up gig just email me....
 
i see. well, like i said its just speculation on my part. I dont trust u fully but if u really are what u say u are, Im very sorry. :)
But i really dont like the idea of the crowd that a band brings having SO much influence on the outcome of the competition. Voting and ticket sales taking up 50% of the criteria is way too imbalanced. I would prefer judging be pushed up to about 80% minimum.

After reading tru all the comments.
I had discuss with my partners and the judges..
We had decided on not adding in tickets sales as a Judging point.
Hope everyone will be ok after all these changes..

Musicality and Stage presence and appeal : 50%
Cohesiveness : 30%
Technique 20%

Slots are limited too..

You're using this today and using that tomorrow... Perhaps you might change the prizes last minute. Hmmm... Very legit.

hmm organisers should push ticket sales not bands. Bands can help but the neccessity of selling tickets is utter bullshit lah. If can sell, good...if not its still good..tt should be the way. But anyways who are we to stop organisers from doing so, they have their ways...so all we can do is just hope. Hope for the better. Organiser, if u want to make money also...at least ask band 20 dollar registration fee for auditions lah...at least can get more money and less complaints. tts how other comps work what.

hi..hope you don't mind...as we think the grading should be standard..so it will be fair for all bands in any of the competition...
