maman i would appreciate it if u clarify before you right stuff about my competition.

is still the same thing, still in the percentage
and ticket is much more higher percentage then judging 40% to 30%
so wat if u get a good band with great dynamics
but couldnt sell tickets, they will sure lose out
and yes u can say, they must make the effort to sell
but tat not wat band competition is about
selling tickets got nothing to do with music

Ok this is stupid!!! Gig organiser!!! If you guys dont earn enough or even enough to cover the cost of running this competition then you have 2 options:

- Instead of getting bands to sell tickets, just do what Asian Beats did before = Charge each band like $40 bucks to enter the competition!

- Don't be a Gig Organiser!!! The current generation of Gig organisers these days have got the funding for gigs & events the wrong way round!!!

Wtf is up with these ticket selling deals?! This is just the same as the "GasHaus" form of rip-off but in a competition instead of a straight up gig!!!

im not gonna sell 30 tickets to stand a chance winning a competition haha , if i win a competition , it would be based to a bands ability not financial status and them having many friends , please not that money is not the issue here , it never is , its the principle behind it

This competition should be called "Band That Makes Most Money For Organiser '08"

Selling tickets to perform is still bearable, but calling a competition Band Of The Year with Ticket Sales contributing 40% to the band's performance is nonsense.

WHO THE HELL ARE THESE ORGANISERS TRYNG TO CHEAT?

"Hi, my band was the winner of Band Of The Year '08."

"What? I haven't heard of something like that."

"Oh, it was organized by this dude on Soft called gig_organiser."

My question is, how high profile is this competition gonna be? After all, it is BAND OF THE YEAR you know?

Our music scene really doesn't need this. I don't usually post things like that, but this really is too much.
