wow what a loser.have the urge to cheat for cables.sheesh!

to ts get the balance from that prick.this is serious business.

hmm if you found out the item you bought was actually a fake/imitation good but the seller told you it was real/authenthic, will it still be possible to take action against him or like force him for a refund? Or do this type of "unofficial" or mutual deals have no obligations tied to it. like once the deal is done, its done. is there such a thing?

That's the problem with dealing 2nd hand on forums... Once the deal is completed, there's no more responsibility on the seller's side.

I would only "trust" instalment type kinda transactions if the buyer is a moderator.

Hmmm.. wait actually not even then :p

No offence, mods.

mesergod is actually his band's name too. i checked out his myspace. think he was looking for some musicians or smth . well , simple. no money no deal .

my experience with mesergod can be described in one ''word'':

HAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.

I mean really. i had first hand experience of being in his band, MESERGOD.
and the experience of being in his band for the......1month? can be described by
the same ''word"

so ummmm....wat is the word???:p

this messergod must be soem cheapskate.
lol..
i still remember that day i sold my old guitar, it was a Hamer.
the initial price was for 300...
he offered to pay installment.
i couldnt care less...
he paid 150 in advance...
then he had some financial problems with his family.
I asked some 'people' to check it out, turns out to be true.
so yeah i just made him pay another 50....
haha..

and there was that day i sold my KorgAx3000
the guy came over to my house gave the whole cash 300
that was simple.
but the funny part was he asked me to set his sound for him as he was late for a jamming session.
funny he was using a neck pick up to play riffs.
"it sounds heavier" he says.
i was like, oh well..

this was somewhat just after KorgAx3000 first came out. 2-3 years ago? (yeah i only played with the darn thing for 3 weeks)

had to stop my passion for music for the time being due to NS...

You know the irony here? The sub topic said " Guitar Heroes "

.

I thought that it was quite apt actually... only that in this case , what it teaches you is that "Dont anyhow try to be hero and let people pay you partially because you thinking of helping them!"

Cheers !

also get to know the softie, what i mean is usually softies who have been around soft for quite some time or maybe years would most probably be safe to deal with i mean is ok to pay a downpayment but also keep sufficient information abt the dealer like name, nric, and stuffs best to print their nric down for downpayment and stuffs also checking/full cash and carry is still the best

I think if you can obtain proof that the seller knew it was a fake item prior to selling it, yes, you can take action. The seller can be charged for cheating or fraud. But if he didn't know, there's nothing much you can do, except appeal to his sense of decency.

I dont think there's anything buying/selling 2nd hand things on forums.

If I wanna buy something used, I must know that there will be a risk of the thing breaking down. If I know something is gonna break, then I wont buy it at the first place. And if this problem is so severe judging from the way you put it, a lot of forums will be dead. Buying 2nd hand stuff is not that bad, its all about your luck. If you want responsibility from seller, go to an Authorised Dealer.

Read my post again. Where did I say that I disapprove of buying and selling 2nd hand on Soft? If you're observant enough, you'd notice I do it too. Where do you think I got my bad monkey or my uber metal from?

I was simply stating its cons.

let just say it was just unlucky for him to deal with a con artist.

and if you've read my past experience. i deal in this 2nd hand business too.

Thankfully this doesn't apply to the EBMM international forums... The guys there really do their best to help you sort out problems on a guitar they sold you... It's more about making friends there...

It doesn't happen on the D'addario forums either, I notice... I think on most forums making friends is also the priority of members... But actually if we look at it again, how many SOFT deals go sour? Shit happens, but thankfully its rare.

Any chance of meeting John Petrucci in person on the EBMM forums?
